It's been a difficult week. Sometimes the pain almost brings me to tears. Fortunately, I can arrange to be by myself at those times. Makes for long, long days. And, my mom has ended up in hospital again. Unfortunately, my sister who spends half the year there, in Az.,returned to Canada yesterday. Any news I get now is third, or fourth hand. What a process. Anyhow, the grey flowers kinda represent how I'm feeling about now. I know many of you won't like the photo, but, that's ok. It is what it is.
Sometimes people walk into your shot and ruin it but on this occasion the picture was definitely made by it...
Sometimes
Only sometimes
I question everything
And I'm the first to admit
If you catch me in a mood like this
I can be tiring
Even embarrassing
But you must
Feel the same
When you look around
You can't tell me honestly
You're happy with what you see
Oh sometimes
Only sometimes
You must be
You must be
As embarrassing as me
Sometimes

Do not use these images for anything, I will actually kick your mouth in.
Just the vibrancy and silliness that comes out extemporaneously can be really enjoyable.
Day 24 of my #365project
Sometimes Mother Nature surprises and delights us by hiding little tiny works of art inside her bigger ones. All we have to do is take the time to see them.
There are times when life gets so heavy that it weighs us down. We're left with two choices: laugh or cry. Why not laugh? Problems will always be here.......so why not just resolve to make the best of it?!?! "Laughter is like medicine to the soul."

Todays post is about a very weird story of success and failure of one of my older Fenway photos, that you maybe know (Link to the flickr page). The photo was selected in the photo competition "100 Years Fenway Park" of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and the Boston Red Sox as the Winner of the Landscape category. Yeah!!!
That is what the jury said, (according to the Boston Globe article below)
“When I first looked at it, to me it almost struck me as a painting,” Dick Bresciani, vice president for the Boston Red Sox.
“It has a kind of Wagnerian sweep to it,” Malcolm Rogers, director of the Museum of Fine Arts.
The only problem is, I didn't submit the photo. Another guys downloaded it from my flicker portfolio, submitted it in his own name and called it "Dazzling Sky at Fenway Park". Result: the photo was only the winner for a short moment and disqualified from the competition. Unfortunately, another photo will now be exhibit in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

...you see a stunning sunrise during the travels of your life, but even a red sunset like this gives you strenght and the feeling of being lucky, sometimes...
Taken at 5:40 pm outside a motorway restaurant of the A12 highway near Genoa towards Florence...
No post-production, just the frame.

Xmas is amazing time! Hope you all enjoy it deserved :)

Sometimes it's nice just to go back to an old favourite shot and not recreate it.
I was also glad to see that My Favourite Tree, despite losing a branch several years ago, has recovered into a very pleasing shape, especially with its late summer plumage on.
Sometimes, I head to the shore early in the morning to wait for the kingfisher or to capture the moment when swallows are feeding their young. The best time to experience the beauty of sunlight and the sea is between 6:30 and 9:00 AM. The silence is gently disturbed by the soft rustle of the waves. The fresh, oxygen-rich winds from the North Aegean also do wonders for the soul. Even though we are witnessing the effects of the climate crisis all around the world, the beauty of nature, especially watching the sunrise and the changing direction of the sun in the early hours of the morning, is enough. This woman came to the shore while waiting for the kingfisher, swam, took a shower, and then sat on the rocks under the morning sun, observing her surroundings. When she returns home, she will start her day with a delicious Turkish breakfast. Enjoying these beauties and blessings can be considered a privilege and a chance.
I've captured some memorable moments with my camera, and I genuinely hope you'll experience the same joy in viewing these images as I did in capturing them.
