Allen einen schönen Sonntag!
Sometimes you have to stop and pause for a moment. A friend and I did so on our hiking tour through the Austrian alps.
I have a Kiev 4 camera that... lets say needs some work. Most of its idiosyncrasies are manageable, but folks who have shot one of these cameras are probably aware of how widely variable the frame spacing can be. Mine only came with a used film spool, not an actual takeup spool, so I made my own by cutting a slot in the film spool and gluing canister caps to each side. It works now after I've hammered all of the metal edges down around the lip of the spool, but the first attempt... didn't. This was the result. The modified spool bound up for the last 10 or so frames and I only noticed once I made it to frame 40 without having to rewind. In the end though, I kind of like the look in a weird collage sort of way.

Sometimes you might see something totally different than your closest friend. Seeing things in a new way can be great for the expansion of ideas.
....the leaves are more beautiful than the flower.
This was under my balcony so the background has come out naturally black.

Sometimes in the mechanics life, you see a really nice car and then....you get a look inside. A Ferrari 355F1 Spider. This photo is from the most accessible portal...the wheel well with the wheel and tire removed.. and I can see rust in bad places, evidence of paint over-spray, and what looks like some aftermarket gasket sealer. I declined this one. Discretion being the better part of Valor.
sometimes all I do is sit on the curb taking in the sights and sounds from the cruise nite..

Sometimes I'm happy
Sometimes I'm blue
My disposition depends on you
I never mind the rain from the skies
As long as I have the sun in your eyes
Sometimes I love you
Sometimes I hate you
When I hate you
It's because I love you
That's how I am
So what can I do
I'm happy when I'm with you
Sometimes no words are needed.
But a song may do the trick.

Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
"Fools" said I
"You do not know, silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed
In the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the signs said
"The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whisper'd in the sounds of silence

Sometimes the only thing to do is to start looking at everything again until you forget what you're supposed to see & actually see what's there

Sometimes the weather plays ball. On this hike, last April we encountered all manner of conditions on what was a most memorable day out on the hills. In fact the dark skies seen here would soon have us inside a fine snowstorm.
The prominent hill here is a subsidiary top "Sgurr nan Spainteach" no doubt named in honour of the assistance provided by Spanish forces in the 1719 Jacobite rising which saw the British forces gain victory in the very last battle fought on British soil between domestic and foreign troops. See you didn't think you would get a history lesson from a mountain view.
......especially if there is a delay again in public transport and you're wondering whether you will get your connection ....

Sometimes it is all about the perspective of things. Viewpoint is important. Priorities are important.
A lot of rain here for January. I do not think that I have ever seen this before.
