Sometimes we are like an angel with one wing, and we necessarily need the other wing of a similar angel to keep flying.

Sometimes it can be hard to get good shots of butterflies. They always seem to be flitting about. It sure is nice when they're strike a pose for you. Shot this one amidst the lovely gardens of Middleton Place plantation near Charleston, South Carolina.
Sometimes, as a photographer, you find yourself in a mental slump. That's when creative flows stop flowing. This can have various causes, but I think it is usually because your brain is busy with other things and so there is simply no energy or "place" to develop your creativity. Nature has a healing effect for me. In a forest or park I can find my inner peace. Do you also have that experience? Then you need flowers, lots of flowers. I give them to myself also. A note for myself: being sweet to others is a good thing, but don't forget yourself.

The anhinga, sometimes called snakebird, darter, American darter, or water turkey, is a water bird of the warmer parts of the Americas. The word anhinga comes from the Brazilian Tupi language and means devil bird or snake bird. The origin of the name snakebird is apparent when swimming: only the neck appears above water so the bird looks like a snake ready to strike. The female is almost the same looking, only her neck and face is a tan color. Taken in Florida. The photo is BW because the male anhinga is all black and white.

Sometimes you are lucky enough for the light to make an inconspicuous stretch of land glow. Then, as a photographer, you can't help but pull the trigger.

Sometimes that’s what I feel.
A wall. solid. No flexibility.
And me? Staring at it or pushing hard
with no response. Well
it’s a wall.
or maybe I'm the wall? That
ain't flexible? Not changing?
The say is "you need two
To Tango". So if I'm facing
A wall then some is facing me – as a wall.
When I will start accepting it’s a wall
All will be possible.
Sometimes you are just happy to have any camera on you to capture things you would otherwise miss. Taken on an early morning walk prior to work.

Sometimes one needs to look the other side to enjoy sunset. It ain't always the sun hiding behind the rim or horizon that give you a wonderful scenery.

It was an alienating situation: just around the bend in a narrow street, we drove past this field, falling into this scenery. Stopping and digging up the camera and... the sun hided behind the clouds. Scanning the cloud cover, the direction of the wind in search for that one hole the sun beams could get through. Hoping it would pass quickly to see this again before the natural spot light lost its power behind the mountains in the west.
