This is a little frame from Nancy and Jonathon's wedding shot recently in St Ives in Cornwall. They had the most amazing day and the most amazing weather to accompany it as well which in Cornwall, can not always be a given!
This is the blog post for this photo, but the whole wedding should be up at somepoint soon when I manage to get this website sorted!

Spent the last two days locked away in my edit suite working on a
client project. A huge chunk of that time was dedicated to rendering,
so thankfully I had my PS3 here to keep me company.
The next few weeks are going to be even more busy cuz I start editing
a new Jennifer Love Hewitt & Jamie Kennedy movie called Cafe. It was
shot over the past three weeks in Philly with two of our RED cameras.
I was supposed to be on location for that shoot, but I was previously
booked with other projects here in NorCal.
I'm doing the assembly edit of the movie so the director can see all
of the footage in context. He'll then take the movie back to Los
Angeles to work with his editor to fine tune the piece. Afterwards
they'll send it back to me for color correction and color grading. And
then it'll be printed out to film for distribution once it's all nice
and pretty.
In other work related news, I recently purchased my own 3D
stereoscopic rig that will allow me to shoot live action stereoscopic
3D movies, commericals and music videos. Our company was going to buy
one a couple months ago, but opted to put that purchase on hold
because we're moving to a larger facility and they'd rather spend
money on new construction rather than new toys for me to play with.
Whatever! I couldn't wait, so I decided to buy a custom built rig for
myself. Hopefully it will be completed by mid June.
Not much else going on in my life. Lots of work and very little play.
However, I did manage to steal a couple hours here and there to
hangout with some local friends. I have photogtaphic evidence from
those little mini excursions and will post them at somepoint.
And finally, I want to apologize for being such a bad LJ friend
lately. I tried catching up on all of your posts, but I gave up
because there are soooooo many of them. You guys write a lot! I feel
so out of the loop. Did I miss anything important?
Oh oh oh! I saw UP last night between renders. LOVED it! Go see it
while you can. And bring tissues. Seriously.
K, that's all for now. Time to head home. Hope y'all had a good weekend!
Love yas,

I don't know if they just keep this one around as a spare airplane - or they are planning on selling it at somepoint. It is just interesting to see if week after week - and it still doesn't have any airline logos on it.
This was taken at Horsey Gap. I'd set out there with the intention to get some pictures of the seals, but I didn't have my 55-250mm lens then and my 35-105mm wasn't enough to capture them well. I will go back at somepoint when they're breeding again and actually get some shots of them though.
Focal length: 4"
Pinhole diameter: approx. 0.5mm
Paper negative: 7" x 5"
Exposure time: 25 mins
The first successful exposure and Button's 4th picture (I may properly investigate the two before this at somepoint. Those negatives were very underexposed indeed. The first was completely white in fact.) I was bowled over by the clarity and detail visible when I had this one sitting in the developer. I could barely believe the results. Look at the bricks in the top right corner!
That's parsley I grew from seed in the front there. On the front left is rocket.
Media appearances have their own right of passage. A few days after I did the spot on the BBC in London slogging it out with a rather tough presenter on the merits of street art, I was in Manchester doing a fantastic breakfast chat show with Tony Wilson (back left corner - I’m at the back right). The more I get to know Tony the more I like him. And he’s a great presenter. The show was the ultimate in relaxed delivery - sitting in the Cornerhouse, talking about culture, current events and politics over a few cups of suitably strong coffee to get me going on a Saturday morning. I’m going to upload the show at somepoint, if for no other reason than to document the moment when I was asked a question about gun control, and I made a remark about being armed at that moment. This, it turns out, is frowned upon by the beeb. Who knew.
Woo!
The sea is flat like smoke. It has been time-averaged and the shadows from the rusty poles can be seen.
The nd110 is not colour neutral, however, and has warmed the picture up. Personally, I like the effect.
I'll have to do a black and white version at somepoint I think.
I bought some Kenko macro extender rings a few weeks back but hadn't had the opportunity to try them yet. I'm not sure what to make of the results. In this particular shot I dusted off a 30mm SIgma 1.4 lens, which I hadn't used in ages and will be on ebay at somepoint and used it in conjunction with the thinnest extender (there are three of differing sizes).
Happy Fly Day Friday!
I've been waiting to post this beauty all week! It took me a couple of days to pin down the ID but pretty sure I have it now. This is a type of Marsh fly belonging to the family Sciomyzidae and I believe this indivdual to be Coremacera marginata. As adults, this species feeds on nectar and dew, while it's larvae prey on several types of terrestrial snails, hence it's alternate name: "the Snail-Killing Fly".
I'm very pleased to have found this one, and what a rather beautiful fly it is too! Just check out the markings on it's head, and depending on the angle you approach, it's coumpound eyes showed a distinctive band of purple iridescence. And as for the wings (seen in this shot), they show a magnificent mottled patterning! I rolled of a hole series of shots so expect more at somepoint :)

Found these old pics from mid 2020. This truck has changed a bit over the past four years. i'll post new pics of it at somepoint
I guess it copped a respray at somepoint. This would probably tell me what kind of tubing it is. Oh well...
Part of the accomodation dorms or something at Portavadie. The whole place was trashed, but it looked like it may be have used at somepoint. There was carpets still on the floor, mixed with a mixture of rabbit and sheep shit. Nice. Interesting texture too.

Hong Lou Meng or A Dream of Red Mansions is one of the four? Chinese classics. In Beijing there is a theme park devoted to this work. Roughly half of the park is centered around this large pond. Somewhere else in China there is another place that tries to recreate all the food and dining experances from the book. It also happens that Hong Lou Meng is the favorate book of the lady in this picture. On a final note, at somepoint I will correct the washed out sky. For now I am just trying to get some photos up that I like.
WELL, now you've got one.. the cars STILL needing fixed..and while your at it, how about the washing machine to!?
NAE EXCUSES ;)
Not sure how this will hold up, but it has to be better than the previous setup. At somepoint the previous exhaust had done a cracking job of melting a hole in the bumper, so I made this plate extra wide to cover up the damaged section.
I hit the 40 Mile Point Lighthouse just before the start of the golden hour only to have the clouds and rain roll in from the storm approaching. I tossed the rain gear on the D700 and camera bag and got what I could. The clouds are really terrible, but I think I got the trick of the light (3 seconds on, 3 seconds off). Perhaps I'll be able to get good weather at somepoint, but neither trip to the site has had a good sky.

With Sunday being the first day of advent, the Christmas decorations have been bought down from their hibernation in the loft and come somepoint Sunday, they'll be up
This is image no. 38 of 365 for my 2011 365 project.
"Absolute Leftovers"
So for Tyler's little birthday party I decided that if all the kiddies that came over got a cracker jack prize, so should the adults. So this was their door prize and oh gosh darnit wouldn't you know that I purchased too many. These may just come in handy at somepoint...
At somepoint, LL was working on puppetry. It could have done things like this. If you like to see more machinima like this, check out my channel on www.youtube.com/@DJAnnaKurka
Ok, this guy has been here for couple of weeks, but I have had so many other stuffs ( + Mirella) so there is only few people who knows about him. xD
I blame him on Fyrd. She got herself a nendo fever and reintroduced me to these buggers. I had seen them before, but never had name for them, and I just desited to see what is available. I just grinned, thought there would be nothing for me since I like very few animes and such, and so on, and I was sure I'd never get one... and then I found this! x'DDD
IT'S A FRIGGING IRONMAN I MUST HAVE IT, DAMN YOU!
And I found him trough ebay and now he sit on the shelf. I might take him as my official mascot to my workplace at somepoint. But here, now everyone has seen him! xD
That face makes me lol so hard.
I think (unless i somehow find somemore) this is the last of photos to upload of Exeter Cathedral. However i like to think it will not be my last as i hope to go back at somepoint in the future.
Comments appreciated.
Thanks & Enjoy,
Steven
P.S. I have made a new set titled 'Re-Processed' as i spent some time this past week re-processing older photos that had been processed poorly so if you could please take a look and give me your thoughts on some, it would be appreciated :) Thanks.
At somepoint in the short term future, I'll be replacing the garage door for a modern, motorized one
I think just about everyone who has visited Dysart or lives in the local area has photographed these at somepoint
The carriage of John Handcock and Dorothy Quincy (at somepoint later it was transformed into a sledge)
This is the only novel by Howard Berk.
I got it when it came out in paperback in the UK and read it maybe 3 times after that, but not since, although I've always felt it would be worth re-reading again at somepoint. And it is!
Parnell is an amnesiac (all the patients are, it's part of the process to rehabilitate them after the horrors of nuclear war have driven them insane) who awakes in a vast Complex and clashes continually with the powers that be (shown very sympathetically) as he progresses by leaps and bounds towards recovery, unlike the rest of the patients.
Eventually he escapes but the war has left America, and the rest of the world, a shattered ruin and he hides by roaming the network of radiation free corridors between various Pioneer Zones meant to be at the heart of the post-war recovery. Inexplicable flashbacks keep occuring to him and drive him close to the edge. Eventually, though, his memory returns, revealing his past and why so much time and energy has been spent on him...
The science sounded a lot more plausible back then, or maybe I was younger, and now it's definitely in the Cold War doomsday scenario area, with a touch of the sf New Wave about it. But talk about downbeat endings!
A few more shots of this rather attractive fly I osted yesterday.

I'm en route to Ukiah to deliver the UG to a guy who will look at it and tell us if anything is glaringly wrong. After some of the horror stories, I must admit that I'm a little nervous. I don't even know what to look for.
I stopped by the Flying Goat this morning for my first cup and a bagel. I ran into Ben and Paul from Thanksgiving who are on their way to the airport to head to the WBC in Atlanta. I'm only a little jealous though.
It's crazy windy today, which means that the guy driving the roaster is getting blown all over the road. That would be the last thing we'd need.
I'll probably have lunch with my parents and then head home. It's Nadja's birthday tonight so we'll probably go get a drink at somepoint.

Part of a building in Kokseong. I'm guessing it was a theatre, from back when Kokseong was a regional centre under Japanese rule. It must've been destroyed at somepoint, perhaps during the Korean War. Today, the bottom floor is a rice warehouse.
Jenny Fairy Kendra and I had another epic girls night tonight. although at somepoint there were boys there too. Aaron even came out, and drank with us. :) we went to yokohama, for sushi. and sake on the beaches. and then to henrys upstairs because there was no cover charge. I didnt get to ring in the new year with everyone though. aaron thomas some other guy and i were walking back to my car when midnight hit. Because thomas truck fuel or whatever gelled up and he couldnt drive it. So Thomas left his truck and aaron in lawrence with me for the night. and he took my car home. This week of late shifts has been kinda harsh on me, thankfully now I have the weekend off.
I plan to take my new camera for a test run over the weekend at somepoint. I'm also thinking of trying some long exposures to see if I can get the ISS streaking through the night sky!
Once again though I'm finding myself waking up at night, though this time it's not for prolonged periods at least and I can usually drift back off to sleep in minutes which is good.

this was taken June 9th 2010..
I was getting ready was needed to use the mirror in my mothers bedroom. The sun was shining through the cream curtains.
I wanted to see if I would get a similar effect to a photograph taken a couple years ago in america, while at an airport.
you really can make you're own studio anywhere.
Recently I've been wearing rather girly flowers In my hair.
I also now feel incomplete without my new irn-bru can necklace pendant.
I would have photoshopped this , If I actually had photoshop.
Not as clear as I would hope! Will try to recreate at somepoint, maybe with use of tripod.
There was going to be more Laura's in this but the camera went funny and didn't upload all the images....and once i'd realised...i'd already deleted them, so this is all there is, so i might do another one by this wall at somepoint in the future because its great perspective
This was basically the view from our hotel. The photo is a little washed out, but still think that it shows how impressive the view was. I will probably try to retouch this at somepoint.

I actually captured 30 sequential images of this little fella - Will make into an animated GIF at somepoint.

A pair of Tawny owls successfully breed at Fairlands in 2015 in a box in the woods with two chicks fledging. I saw an owl in the same box a couple of times during January 2016 but at somepoint in the following weeks/months the box was abandoned. One was then seen 4 May in the box at the environmental lake. This taken at 6.35am. Feathers look a little untidy & bare in places so possibly an early moult? Unfortunately no sign of breeding this year, or is there......to be cont....
