Wont tell you where because then someone would takeover it before me. The guy I am doing is different in my story hope its ok, he is an real batman villain you know. I might get into his story too at somepoint. This is a little bad quality

Ok, this guy has been here for couple of weeks, but I have had so many other stuffs ( + Mirella) so there is only few people who knows about him. xD

I blame him on Fyrd. She got herself a nendo fever and reintroduced me to these buggers. I had seen them before, but never had name for them, and I just desited to see what is available. I just grinned, thought there would be nothing for me since I like very few animes and such, and so on, and I was sure I'd never get one... and then I found this! x'DDD

IT'S A FRIGGING IRONMAN I MUST HAVE IT, DAMN YOU!

And I found him trough ebay and now he sit on the shelf. I might take him as my official mascot to my workplace at somepoint. But here, now everyone has seen him! xD

Hit this shoulder at somepoint, I don't really remember it.

A show condition Kadet found in a car park in Cochem. This model was clearly enthustast owned as I had to hurry him because he was taking photos of his car and I was after the neighbouring space in this very busy car park.

The inside was immaculate, and featuring a sheet of paper on the dash, showing a picture and explaining all about the car (in German of course), the car wasn't for sale. This show car was owned by a man in his late 30's/early 40's? This car has remained local to the small rural village it was found in, signified by the COC showing Cochem. Going by the modern numberplate, I'm assuming this car has changed owners at somepoint post 2000. Another downside was the scratch by the petrol cap, but I'm sure he'll tend to that.

Anyone know the year?

A massive nearly 360 panorama of the Grand Place in Brussels, Belgium. A few flaws near the roof line that I'll need to correct at somepoint in the future.

Back home where I grew up, Hibiscus, or shoe flowers are a common sight in the gardens. You can pretty much spot most of the colors and varieties in household gardens. They sometimes form the center point of neighborhood interactions. If you had a color which your neighbor didn't, you can bet he'll come over and ask for a branch to plant. And then folks will start boasting over how meticulously they have been taking care of the branch of some rare variety that they had found.

I have had my own romance with this flower when I was a kid. After reading about Gregor Mendel and what he had accomplished with pea plants, I was all excited about venturing about on my own. So I started my attempts to cross breed between plants. Shoe flowers had large stigma and very prominent stamens and were available year around, so they were my favorites. Not to mention my biology text book had a cut out section explaining the anatomy of the same flower. So I started cross breeding plant species, carefully collecting pollen from other plants like tomatoes (yes, this is why it is hilarious ...) etc and brushing them on to the stigma of show flowers. I used to go to sleep wondering what monster I would be creating the next day with my experiments.

Thankfully the world runs on a definite order, there are some laws in biology that can't be fiddled with, and my plant monster didn't bring the world to end. I continued to read on more about DNAs, Chromosomes, classification of species and related stuff and later understood why my experiments failed.

So after so many years when I ran on to these flowers in Costa Rica, it brought me nostalgic feelings. They grew everywhere ... road side, gardens, even found them in the outskirts of Corcovado Rain forests. That kind of raised my curiosity as to the origins of these flowers. At somepoint I was almost inclined to think that they were native to the neotropics and were brought over to South Asia. But my later research found out that it was the other way around.

Notice how the background is dark ? That's no processing trick. It's because I used flash. Incidentally I keep advising folks who asks me how to improve their photography to turn off the flash and get a tripod. There are good reasons for that. My theory being that a photograph is painting made by light, natural light being the best for the job. When you turn on the flash, you are unleashing a lot of power into that mix. That's an action if done without properly understanding the consequences can ruin a photograph.I believe that using flash is an advanced level in photography. As a matter of fact, the folks who have heeded my advice have been happy with their results.

This trick works best when there's less light around, preferably in the evenings after sundown. In order to get the subject alone lit up and the background dark, few things needs to be done. First position in such a way that the background is considerably away from the subject (a few feet). Next put the camera in manual mode. Shoot with a preferably faster shutter speed (a bit of trial and error might be required). If you still get some ambient light in the bckground , increase the shutter speed further. What really happens is that the subject is lit up by the flash, very little light spills into the background. Since you are shooting in manual mode, camera obeys whatever shutter speed you set it to. A fast shutter speed basically is not sufficient for the ambient light to illuminate the background for it to be captured in the sensor. If you don't want to waste your flash battery while duing trial and error, just turn of the flash and shoot in manual with increasing shutter speeds till you get a black background that you desire. Now turn on the flash and shoot.

I used a 100 MM macro lens and the MT 24EX ring flash to shoot these pictures. Shot in the garden of Cascada Verde lodge. Notice that white smoke like feature on the red hibiscus at the end of the stigma ? That's something I noticed while I was framing. I figured that if I position the frame in such a way that the white blur appeared at the tip of the stamen it could add some interestingness to the shot instead of being a distraction in the dark background.

My penultimate stop on the trip home from Glasgow saw me here! It's hard to believe, but it was actually sunny when we arrived (and beautifully so when we were driving back) . It didn't stop the stop though being a good one, I did quite enjoy the little wander around and decided it needs a proper explore one day

This photo of the royal border bridge, a railway viaduct, is quite an impressive one! Hopefully it'll come out like that when the photos are uploaded at somepoint

Final vermont sunrise before I return to Boston for a few day. Its been a difficult 2 weeks here as slowly I let go of my marriage of 23+ years. At peace with it now. At somepoint, I'll need to reboot my passion - seeing beautiy like this help : )

Virtually the whole fleet of Avantis Class 221s were at Crewe at somepoint on Sunday 12th June. Either at Crewe Station or Crewe Carriage Shed.

I see this sign almost every day.

I realise that it's probably not a real sign, and that a real sign instructing someone or something to do someone or something was probably fixed to it at somepoint... but it's stood there for years without anything on it. It's just a lonely grey metal post with a grey metal triangle on the top.

I like it.

I might have spelt analogue/analog wrong throught this project...Cant be bothered to change them all right now..Will do at somepoint, too busy scanning weird portraits at the moment....

This is Mark...Think he's from Bristol..He was sitting in the sun by the docks with a pint when I found him! Lovely fellow Enjoying some sunshine and people watching time to himself. With a pint of course.

Slightly different approach here...Used a normal darkroom print...Sepia toned...Then Scrunched bits up and moved it around when I scanned it...Being careful not to move the blokes face... Its very addictive this process!

...or maybe is it Tuesday, April 26, 1988???

Stuck in the 80s --->Part II

Not again!!! I have found myself...my future self that is, stuck in the 80s....again.

You see, 215 days ago, I received a letter from myself explaining how I had somehow gotten stuck in 1985. I sent myeslf instructions via a 5 1/4 inch disk on how to bring myself back to the future.

Now it appears that I will at somepoint be taken back to 1988...apparently in my '05 Mustang which I guess I've turned into a time machine.

I tell you, it's never a dull moment around here.

For Flickr Group Roulette and that ageless group...Stuck in the 80s.

Thank goodness I got a NES while in '88 and found a 1988 license plate from California? weird.

I will have to create a Yarnbomb set at somepoint!

My first ever crack at HDR! Annoying lens glare, but this was a first go.

I took this while having a quiet afternoon on the Green with my girlfriend, and I decided to have a quick go at taking some bracketed shots! I will do some proper HDR shots at somepoint, this was just a quick experiment!

Critique is welcome! :)

Back in 2011, I made the images in comments. Somehow at somepoint someone Tumblr'ed it and it snowballed (not quite viral). As of this morning, this image has 19,797 notes against it (like a re-tweet I think).

This year I bought a lot more pansies both to plant and to photograph- experimenting with different colours. As ever, I feel nature gets it right- the pure colours (not mixing up more than one flower) works best for me.

I couldn't pick one. I did all. xD

1. His name is acctually Jami Sakarias Repo, but only his mother calls him Jami. :D For others he is either Sakarias, Saku or Repo. His mother is very straight forward woman. As for his father, Sakarias knows nothing about, else that his parents breaked up before he was even born. Relatives have told him very little about these things, but he has no connections to father's side what so ever.

2. Saku lived his first 17 years of his life believing that he was crazy. And I mean crazy, crazy, he even had a medication for skitsofrenia. When he was small everyone thought he just had a wild imagination - he kept telling about fairies, orcs, giants, ghosts and who knows what else, but as he grew up, people around him realised he was acctually seeing these things, deeming him mentally ill. At somepoint Saku simply started to lying about the whole thing, and leaving his visions to himself. Until one day he happened to talk to a person who in his eyes looked something else than human, and he accidently slipped the fact he was seeing these things. Suddenly, Saku learned he has a special talent to see things as they truly are. Among us there is supernatural creatures, which seal themselfs which magical cloaks and such to be invisible from humans. Sakus ability allows him to see them and sense beings around him, just like they would be visible. These creatures have their special agency to take care of their thing, likes MIB but lot less flashy and practical... little like social agency for supernatural beings. They started to help out Saku to get used to his ability, and he acctually felt so homey with all these funky creatures that he ended up working to this facility after he ended his schools.

3. Just few weeks before getting know about the nature of his ability, 17 year old Sakarias became a single parent of his newborn daughter Minttu. It was a just another high school party, one of those he usually never did take part of, and poor Saku got in touch with alcohol. Months after the party it came to his attention, that one of the girls there was pregnant - and claimed to be pregnant for HIM. It was too late for abortion, and girl was going to give the child for adoption. Saku, probably since he never knew his father and feeling bad about the whole mess, told that he would take the baby. Everyone thought he was crazy, but his mother agreed. Girl apparently had very bad party habits, and little Minttu was born very sick. She lived with Saku's mother until Saku got a job and did his school. Saku has never regreted this decision.

4. Saku acctually never took the tests, so he doesn't have any prove he is Minttu's biological father. It didn't occur to him at the time, and later it just felt awkward to ask. In a way he didn't even want to know - he truly adores his daughter more than anything else and he didn't want to ruin it. When it came obvious that Minttu had gotten Saku's unusual talent, Saku was reliefed, since it made the relation between two quite clear.

5. Saku is often very nervous and really shy, but he doesn't show it very clearly. Since he is used to see some really wierd stuff all the time, he doesn't seem to flinch anything. He seems to keep his gentle smile no matter what, and speaks with a soft pleasant voice. When he gets nervous his smile turn a bit manic and he starts to stutter, but it takes great lengths to make him loose his cool. He is never mad. Never. Sad, frusturated, nervous but never mad or otherwise angry.

6. Saku loves guitar music. Electric, acoustic - it doesn't matter. He is big fan of Chris Rea. He can play few chords, but isn't particulary good at it or actively practicing it. He rather listens to music than makes it.

7. Saku loves his job, while he hates paperwork. He is pretty much lowest kind of field worker they have, but because of his specail talent, he is often accompaning the special team (Ben and Mirella) to some of their missions. While supernatural beings are naturally more sensitive to sense each other, seeing every superntural being in a way Saku does is rare gift, only present in few, does making the talent very useful in hard cases. But besides this and his pleasant nature, Saku has no other special talents in his job - making him on these missions as only one who can see what's going on, but he can't really do anything else. Mirella (coming as full doll later) absolutely can't stand this, and hates Saku's guts out to bee sticked with such a uselees but still unreplacable individual. That mage scares a crap out of poor Saku, who desparetaly tryis to get along.

8. Saku is often hanging out with Unto, satyre he met when he discovered what his powers are about. While Unto can be sometimes really troublesome and gets Saku sighing in deep desparation, he wouldn't give up his besfriend no matter what. Boys truly are, like Unto says: "Brothers from a different mothers".

9. Saku has a huge crush on miss Emilia living in neighbor, but he is too shy to ask her out. Partly because he is shy. Partly since he is 25 year old single parent of 8-year-old. And partly because he is a weirdo seeing supernatural beings, working in their social center. How do you explain that in the first date, hmm?

10. Minttu keeps asking Saku, when she "gets a new mommy". Saku finds this really troublesome as he has no right answer to this. He really wants full family someday. Maybe he gets lucky?

You'll never really find those perfect words, something more than just... 'goodbye'.

It's hard to remember the good times when there's just so much heartache, but they deserve more than that. They deserve more than just one single moan of sadness so, just remember; that when there's enough love in that heart to burst like a fucking supernova, then there sure is hell enough love in that heart to smile that famous smile.

We all lose someone at somepoint in our lives, but don't ever let go of that smile, or they're gone forever.

Because that's a final dedication.

Asking Alexandria.

This was a collaborative effort on the castle.

Val added the fish, crab and clam. At somepoint as my brick collection increases and my building skills improve, I will be replacing the Castle with something obviously far better.

1. Minttu Olivia Repo was born with Epilepsy and small hole in her heart, but now days, when Minttu is 8 years old, her medications and all are in order, so she shows very little of that. Being sick has only made her more spicy little fighter, who see life as a one big adventure! She gets seizures time to time, but she has awesome friends and family to take care of her, so it doesn't really slow her down.

2. Minttu is definatelly daddy's girl, and has never even asked about her mother. So far it hasn't intrested her. There is many single parent families in her class, so it has never really striked her as wierd.

3. Minttu is kind of kid who never stays still more than a minute. He loves skateboarding, climbing, running, jumping, playing ball, videogames - anything you can compete in and learn endlessly new tricks. Naturally, she is prone to get in trouble. :DDD

4. Minttu's best friend is Sepe (coming as a doll at somepoint) who is a small dragon boy. together they tend to get all kinds of mischief done. They mean no harm really. They are just really, really curious.

5. Coolest things in whole wide world are My little ponies and dinosaurs, atleast if you ask little Minttu. She hoards both of them, and often plays with them in same timne. Who said that dinosaurs and magical ponies couldn't be best of friends?

6. Because of her active nature Minttu has a bit trouble in school, she usually consentrates poorly. She has a soft spot for geography. He wants to be to be treasure hunter/pilot when she grows up.

7. Minttu is consired quite weird by several of her class mates, but she has never been troubled by that. She is very social, and loves to meet new people. She has his daddies talent, and she has learned when to keep quiet about things she sees, but when she has a change she is always ready to find a frind among the supernatural beings around her. And why not natural beings too!

8. Minttu is daddies treasure, and while she is mostly very kind little girl, she knows how to take advantage of daddy's love. One sweet smile and pretty plese to the right spot, and daddy picks up moon from the sky to his baby girl.

9. While she likes to move a lot, Minttu loves stories, and actually enjoyis reading. Atleasti if the book is filled with adventures!

10. Unlike most kids, Minttu has never asked an animal of anykind. While she is very curious about them and wouldn't mind having one, she doesn't have urge to own one.

Another one of the many many shots taken around the Boardwalk!

We hope to stay here are somepoint but for our next trip their weren't any boardwalk view rooms left.

Fingers crossed for next time!

Comments Apreciated.

Thanks & Enjoy,

Dilute Piracy

At somepoint this week the disk with all my scans on decided to take it's own life, and is no longer talking to the bus...

Nothing new until i get a new disk and restore from the backup.

Apart from the odd bridge, the evidence to the old railway is very small apart from like this, where you get the trees planted either side. A big pointer that there was a railway at somepoint!

shown here allover white needing front wheels and a replacement windscreen and some sidewindows, intention is to make up new windows for this and cut and fit at somepoint also find some wheels for this which could be found soon, give it a wee general tidy up then to decide which livery and reg plate this should get

Has lost its rear ad board at somepoint recently.

Got one of the new landspeeder storms I have loved painting it.. they look cool... only problem (well 2) is 1... the antenna thing at the front is a lil bent, and 2... I cant paint scouts for sh!t.. I am totally useless at it, so hopefully at somepoint some scouts will be placed on here.. if i can get them to a point where they dont just embarass me...

ready and waiting to have visitors. We finished painting this evening so we decided to pull the tape and hang the pictures. We will paint the bookcase at somepoint, but for right now we are done!

This was taken at Horsey Gap. I'd set out there with the intention to get some pictures of the seals, but I didn't have my 55-250mm lens then and my 35-105mm wasn't enough to capture them well. I will go back at somepoint when they're breeding again and actually get some shots of them though.

View of the newly restored queen mary this bus at somepoint was transfered to united countues bedford.

This photo repersents movement because the overpass is into two sections that both seem to lead together at somepoint in which you are leaded to belive they start far apart and thy draw your attention to right between the two almost as if they grabbed the photo and drug it in.

I found an old 260 watt bulb abandoned in some old, forgotten HVAC repairshop. This is exactly the kind of light I needed to make a photo like this, with large windings. This one I thin I shall retake at somepoint.

Technical nightmare from hell. I'm probably going to redo this at somepoint.

Photoshop does a good job ofstitching and level adjustment, but you cannot make a proper 360 panorama, and you cannot choose the start point - even tweaking the filenames and meta data.

Autopano pro does an ok stich job and produces a 480MB Tiff file that I cannot export from Lightroom once tweaked.

Due to be restored at somepoint,on order are new buffers to glue in and a new bulb to solder in place, already tried a blue LED and looks quite good but today saw my new shipment of leds and im going to replace the blown bulb with a "off" orange colour rather than the warm white led as the orange kind of looks meaner, more pics to follow on this when done

According to various studies conducted overtime in different parts of world, around 20% – 40% of world’s adult population suffers from Insomnia every year. And 1 out of every 3 people suffer from it at somepoint in their lives. And to take this a step further, around 40 m...

At somepoint an altercation occurs and one of the black is injured (not really, just in the script...). She hangs nearly lifeless suspended from the jaws of the great flytrap. Beautifully and slowly spinning...tranforming, the others lament. The white ones emote... She slowly contorts, straining, lowers to the ground and lie there forever. And then comes back to life. It seems the black and the white return to their rivalries as they stand off once more, circling each other...and then...the dance, the circling, becomes more erotic, they begin to circle in groups of twos, and... suddenly a joy sweeps over all of them as the place explodes in estatic dance, people are pulled in from the audience and the whole place turns into a rave.

The end.

(at least that was the idea... : )

or at least was at somepoint, now it's a tourist trap on the dock in Catalina Island.

This shot displays the product in use with a "realistic" background because having a young kid in the house usually leads to toys or something on the floor at somepoint.

I think at somepoint, Thumbelina wears a hat/flower like this...

TINY ACORN!

At somepoint our cat started watching the birds.

This is a little frame from Nancy and Jonathon's wedding shot recently in St Ives in Cornwall. They had the most amazing day and the most amazing weather to accompany it as well which in Cornwall, can not always be a given!

This is the blog post for this photo, but the whole wedding should be up at somepoint soon when I manage to get this website sorted!

Spent the last two days locked away in my edit suite working on a

client project. A huge chunk of that time was dedicated to rendering,

so thankfully I had my PS3 here to keep me company.

The next few weeks are going to be even more busy cuz I start editing

a new Jennifer Love Hewitt & Jamie Kennedy movie called Cafe. It was

shot over the past three weeks in Philly with two of our RED cameras.

I was supposed to be on location for that shoot, but I was previously

booked with other projects here in NorCal.

I'm doing the assembly edit of the movie so the director can see all

of the footage in context. He'll then take the movie back to Los

Angeles to work with his editor to fine tune the piece. Afterwards

they'll send it back to me for color correction and color grading. And

then it'll be printed out to film for distribution once it's all nice

and pretty.

In other work related news, I recently purchased my own 3D

stereoscopic rig that will allow me to shoot live action stereoscopic

3D movies, commericals and music videos. Our company was going to buy

one a couple months ago, but opted to put that purchase on hold

because we're moving to a larger facility and they'd rather spend

money on new construction rather than new toys for me to play with.

Whatever! I couldn't wait, so I decided to buy a custom built rig for

myself. Hopefully it will be completed by mid June.

Not much else going on in my life. Lots of work and very little play.

However, I did manage to steal a couple hours here and there to

hangout with some local friends. I have photogtaphic evidence from

those little mini excursions and will post them at somepoint.

And finally, I want to apologize for being such a bad LJ friend

lately. I tried catching up on all of your posts, but I gave up

because there are soooooo many of them. You guys write a lot! I feel

so out of the loop. Did I miss anything important?

Oh oh oh! I saw UP last night between renders. LOVED it! Go see it

while you can. And bring tissues. Seriously.

K, that's all for now. Time to head home. Hope y'all had a good weekend!

Love yas,

e

I don't know if they just keep this one around as a spare airplane - or they are planning on selling it at somepoint. It is just interesting to see if week after week - and it still doesn't have any airline logos on it.
