There was going to be more Laura's in this but the camera went funny and didn't upload all the images....and once i'd realised...i'd already deleted them, so this is all there is, so i might do another one by this wall at somepoint in the future because its great perspective

ust a snapshot taken at somepoint last year..... then textured again.

This was basically the view from our hotel. The photo is a little washed out, but still think that it shows how impressive the view was. I will probably try to retouch this at somepoint.

A pair of Tawny owls successfully breed at Fairlands in 2015 in a box in the woods with two chicks fledging. I saw an owl in the same box a couple of times during January 2016 but at somepoint in the following weeks/months the box was abandoned. One was then seen 4 May in the box at the environmental lake. This taken at 6.35am. Feathers look a little untidy & bare in places so possibly an early moult? Unfortunately no sign of breeding this year, or is there......to be cont....

A cow had died at somepoint and the bones were lying at the bottom of the tree house.

318256 was also nicknamed the "North Berwick Flyer" at somepoint in the early 2000's from when a unit was allocated to North Berwick - Edinburgh.

Just a bit more detail on the statues on the roof. I kept walking around all of Italy thinking that at somepoint the number of statues around the city would just all get lost in the noise of, well a metric crapton of statues.

This is a bridge in Kendal over the filled in Kendal Canal. At somepoint in the past the bridge has been doubled in width. You can still see the original Bridge.

A few more shots of this rather attractive fly I osted yesterday.

It took me a couple of days to pin down the ID but pretty sure I have it now. This is a type of Marsh fly belonging to the family Sciomyzidae and I believe this indivdual to be Coremacera marginata. As adults, this species feeds on nectar and dew, while it's larvae prey on several types of terrestrial snails, hence it's alternate name: "the Snail-Killing Fly".

I'm very pleased to have found this one, and what a rather beautiful fly it is too! Just check out the markings on it's head, and depending on the angle you approach, it's coumpound eyes showed a distinctive band of purple iridescence. And as for the wings, what a magnificent mottled patterning! I rolled of a hole series of shots so expect more at somepoint :)

Shooting Gibraltars with an Olympus. How Firstcup retro is that?

Eileen at somepoint had the bright idea that it would be fun for me to work some shifts out at the Gardens so I could reinvigorate my now completely rust bar skills and also connect with some of the customers. So this morning, we took a shift together. She let me stay on bar the whole time while manning the register and Clover.

I had a great time. It's been way too long.

Only thing is I will be working this shift solo next week and don't know if I have the know-how with regards to the register. We'll have to see how that goes.

This Gibraltar is tasting quite nice. Guess I still got it.

An unscratched version turned up with a sticker, nice. This will get more interesting and imaginative at somepoint but college deadlines are consuming all my time again....

Got one of the new landspeeder storms I have loved painting it.. they look cool... only problem (well 2) is 1... the antenna thing at the front is a lil bent, and 2... I cant paint scouts for sh!t.. I am totally useless at it, so hopefully at somepoint some scouts will be placed on here.. if i can get them to a point where they dont just embarass me...

I was told of some amazing sunrises so was hopeful to capture one at somepoint! Chrissa knocked on the door to say I might want to look out of the window and this was the view from my bedroom! Had to be seen to be believed! No tripod but a really convenient wall helped me out! I have done nothing to the colours, they really were that good!

A timber yard, near Grange-over-sands in Cumbria; Olympus om-1n, D-76. I might reprint at somepoint to try and get more detail in the shadows.

While visiting RSPB Brading Marshes on the IOW last week, I spotted a small group of Rooks fly out from a tree nearby and out from that group came two huge Crows flying in my direction. They clearly weren't Rooks as they're beaks were just plain black rather than grey.

As soon as I saw them, I was convinced they were Ravens and managed to get a shot of each one as they flew past. Another birdwatcher that I was talking to at the time said that they looked more like Ravens rather than Crows and he said they'd been seen elsewhere on the island before, so I had my hopes up for them to be Ravens and when I sent this shot to Alexthefrog, he confirmed this one as a Raven.

I was very pleased as I'd been wanting to see Ravens for ages and I hope I see some closer to home at somepoint :-)

10-22-15 Brooklyn, NY. At somepoint in life, signs such as "Lawn Closed" have little meaning if one can circumvent their chains.

so i was laying outside with gen tonight and we were talking about leaves.

OK

so i was thinking about the fact that every tree has a bunch of leaves on it the way that they are situated doesnt reall imply a pattern to a normal person but all things grow the way that they do for a reason. just cause we dont understand the way that something is doesnt mean that something is wrong or imperfect cause everything is perfect in its own way. But if you think about the fact that every a big tree has a lot of leaves like at least 10,000 than how many leaves are there in this world. what does it mean if a tree can grow so many leaves and it seems so imperfect to us but there is a reason that it grows the way that it does, what is it about a leaf that it makes it so easy for a leaf to just be. It doesnt have to worry about anything it has a single reason in its being it is here to help others it doesnt question what others think about it doesnt care what other leaves think about it. the only thing that it soes is soak up the sun and make oxygen. the whole reason that a leaf is put on this earth is to help others. whether it makes oxygen or makes someone think. A leaf is without question the simplest thing that has a purpose in this world it comes in the begining and it goes at the end of the season. It doesnt question it self, a leaf doesnt worry about what other people think about it if it is funny looking or if it is gorgeous. It isnt worried about having sex or how many people that it has slept with, a leaf is happy bein a leaf it doesnt worry about anything it knows why it is here and it knows that at somepoint it will be gone. the only thing that it has to worry about is now, that is what we can learn from a leaf is that what we have to worry about is here and now not tomorrow ro yesterday.

the only thing that we can really influence is the here and now, we cant change what happened yesterday and we really cant have an influence on tomorrow. live today for today, most importantly live today for yourself, dont worry what other people say or do if they cant see things the way that you do than let them be there own person it isnt worth bringing yourself down.

"Random Stuff"

This is the third night that I have pulled random stuff from the house to photograph. The interesting thing is that I haven't changed the lighting for the past 3 days... same light, same power, same settings on the flash, same position and yet, I have 3 different looks. Last nights and tonights are similar, granted, but still different in the shadows... much more detail in this one. Anyway, it is past midnight but the photo was taken on the 22nd, at around 11:57PM... cutting it a little close.

Liz and I went out tonight with some friends and while I had my camera with me, I never pulled it out as the place was downstairs, at night with only the soft glow of a few dart boards and a golden tee to illuminate the place. Not exactly photo friendly. Besides, I was having too much fun getting my arse kicked at darts. I used to be OK but it has been at least 8 years since I have picked up a dart... not very conducive to the game. Anyway, this is just another excuse as to why I don't have a good photo for the 365. At somepoint I will have a print worthy photo... perhaps tomorrow, which at this point is actually today. Here is to today!
