Well, not quite as bad as that thankfully as I can get out into the garden & walk up and down our road. On Mayday Bank Holiday Monday I was admitted to Mayday (appropriately!) hospital in Croydon after collapsing at home the evening before in agony. Somehow I'd managed to get 'Muscle Compartment Syndrome' in my right leg. Although it was considered quite serious at the time, after 3 operations I was discharged on crutches and with my leg bandaged until the stiches come out in early June. This picture was taken by a friend who'd taken me out for the day in her car. She dropped me off at home and I thought it only decent to offer her a cup of tea - I was showing off and used a teapot instead of just dropping a teabag in the cup which is my usual practice! Hopefully at somepoint next month I'll be back taking photos, in the meantime I enjoy looking at the great pictures that appear on flickr!
P.S. I'm not wearing the top half of the pyjamas I wore in hospital, it's one of my normal shirts! :O)
Morning all! Happy Monday!
Bit of a random shot for today, it was a really windy, cloudy day peppered with blue skies, annoyingly I had quite a bit of work to do so couldn't go out to shoot as I went out for the evening so work was a priority. However, I had to go to Deansgate late afternoon to pick up our tickets/tshirts for the night and took the camera along with. Annoyingly the clouds had all gone and I was left with a bland sky. Had a play and decided that high key was the only way to go! This is the Beetham Tower/Hilton Hotel designed by Ian Simpson. Pretty striking design, hoping to go inside at somepoint to have a look round. Montage of two different angles.
As I said, working day yesterday and then went out in the evening back to deansgate to a sorta bar crawl. You get given a tshirt as a ticket and can then go into 5 different bars/clubs. Annoyingly long day today though so could be a bit tired... Gotta power through though. Only live once! :P
Thanks for the comments on yesterdays shot, went down much better than I imagined it would!
Happy Monday, have a good week all!

Now identified as Stephen Carter from New Zealand. A fabulous little vase decorated with dragonflies and bullrushes. Approx 12cms tall and made from a greyish stoneware. This is my favourite piece from all the finds that I have had this month.
Havent found much information on Stephen as yet aside from the basics. He migrated to NZ in 1964 with Harry and May Davis as their apprentice potter. At somepoint he has branhed out on his own.
Yay, a cliche photo of a flower.
Sorry for this being so boring, but i've been stuck inside for the last couple of days cause i haven't been feeling too good. Although i'll try and take some half decent photo's soon though!
Anyways, i've finally sent off my disposable's to get developed. Should get them back some point this week, and so i will upload any good ones. (the photo's are mainly from when i went to London in May, and some other random-ness) ^-^
EDIT: i have just ordered my new camera lense and i got free next day delivery, so it should arrive somepoint tomorrow. Eeeek! all my saving up for like...months (haha) has finally paid off. (pun non-intentional) so so so so excited!

I had these made up, something I put together to place at depot an a few other places for those who do not use the internet. $40 for 200 wasn't a bad deal :)
I really hope to see #1527 back in the ARA yellow at some point, everything needs money. I still have my own project to do the same with an SL200 at somepoint but have had a few set backs.

I think I might redo this one at somepoint. I think that the scrappy background was just too much. It worked in the all light text prints but not in my choices. You win some, you lose some!
Manically busy day - Rhys and Merri had a joint eye hospital appointment which meant spending pretty much the whole morning there.
Rhys doesn't need glasses - yet, he probably will at somepoint, not least as they uncovered an astigmatism. Someone has inherited more than his Daddy's smile! Merri hasn't got a squint (we didn't think she had, just a sibling check-up) but has to go back for more tests as they think she may need glasses.
Not looking forward to taking her for stingy drops - it's hard enough when they're old enough like Rhys to understand and be really brave about it.
Got home, checked my work email and.... the internet died. Finally got back online and then it was time to pick up the kids.
Rhys saw a trick on tv he wanted to copy - putting a pin into a balloon without it going pop! So here it is :D
Showing signs of being towed in to Waggon Rd at somepoint over the weekend, why they didnt take it inside I dont know. So thats Ardrossan down a Solo (Unless its back on the road?), Ayr down this and Killie have 47502 off long term sick (Looks mabe like the same prob as 47496). They must be ultra reliable wee bast**ds then!
I've seen this one on a few different sites, such as InaCityLiving and Liverpool Old Photo Gallery, and on one of the sites it was captioned '34 St Domingo Grove' I wonder if it might have been miscaptioned as that because at no 34 (the version with the white house below), the brickwork on the corner doesn't match the old photo. I walked up and down a bit and this red building seemed to be the only one that matched the corner brickwork, window shapes, and everything else that would have likely stayed the same. Some of the houses in the road have been demolished at somepoint because there are a couple of empty grassed areas, so It's entirely possible it was one of those, but this one seemed to fit the bill the closest for me.
Santa Monica. Taken last October during Halloween LA vacation. Also, this photo is massive. It's 42megapixels. It's huge. I plan on printing it out at somepoint. Miss that west coast feeling.
hi yeah, so i feel bad for not being on top of uploading my 365. so here is a shot for today, it is already 11pm so i will probably just go to bed afterwards, but replace this shot with a better one or an edited one at somepoint.
Today in the currents section of the maui news, the photo i took of Matt at his exhibit was printed. :) yay
Anyway, in other news, Anna and her family leave tuesday. i'm sad. :(

Some photographs scanned in from my album. Originally taken on a dodgy 35mm film camera, here's a picture of the Mighty DJ Bods playing out the tracks somepoint during Purple's October 1997 restricted service licence.
The show was the Sunday Anti-Climax broadcast between 12-2pm on, er, well, Sundays.

PURPLE POWER! Love this microbrand Henry Archer. The backdrop is a NASA Hubble photo I downloaded, added a quote and had it framed up and it hangs in my guest bathroom. But, I knew at somepoint it might make a cool backdrop. This dial is actual meteorite from the Denmark area.
This is how they'll line up on the battlefield in the end :)
Well once they dis-embark from the land raider crusader i'll hopefully get at somepoint :)
this was just after filling the Vandura up in Healy for $4.02 a gallon. -___-
Anyways, Billie's Vandura was not without it's charms. When putting gas in the tank you had to "squirt" small amounts in at a time or it would overflow.............so it took a LONG time to fill up.

A current Fire Emblem Heroes OC that does not involved any fandom to Fates or Awakening; this has happen few of my Fire Emblem Heroes OC...
This OC it is a theme Arabian oriented being and belong to that region, also the naming after of "Gazeem" it is a reference and a dedicated after to a fan favorite movie and a personal used to be favorite Disney film "Aladdin" which brought the attention of that film and the little guy "Gazeem". Fire Emblem have made few reference little, and I been referencing alot of character naming after and influence to other series and Nintendo games and such as this;; Fire Emblem may have put of "Dancer" alot because they were inspired of "belly dancer" which it is the arabian culture of the middle east;; what if scenario that Fire Emblem would influence to arabian theme and tale and like this one, if scenario like Disney Aladdin........
Skin: White
Hair: Brunette
Age: Chrom age size
Love Interest: Unknowning
Friends: Marth (great descendant blood related)
Background story:
Gazeem came from a loyal kingdom far away of the desert from any region beside Ylisee, Nohr, Hoshido or any country homeland universe of Fire Emblem; it is said to be known he is the descendant of Marth (himself) and the allies unit that fought the war for many century ago, which he is blood-line relate to his ancestor and his ancestry of the allies unit of Marth; although he is a messenger that allowed to travel the distant to any region homeland of Fire Emblem to each region of the kingdom; he was not involved to fight, but although he was trained to fight while ago at his own kingdom, he can be as a ninja/ assassin that will test him whatever he will be pick on by others; he officially respect the heroic of Fire Emblem of heroic male and heroines that fought many century up till Fates/ The Three Houses; he has cousin who are both separated and served in Hoshido and Nohr origination armies that are swordman. Gazeem will also stop any enemy units and specially to stop the "Thief" to have treasure and goodies; his duty back at his homeland was a guard-man and loyal guard man, he was a favorite unit at his homeland. He is also the help for Askr origination, the Order of the Heroes during the timeline event of "Fire Emblem Heroes": he was not involved in Fire Emblem Warriors; whatever any enemy try to conquer the homeland of "Askr" - Gazeem will also guard and protect and fight against the unknown enemy depending; he considered himself the favorite units of "Askr". He is also the blood related from "Ylisse" borderline as he has his friends and acciquanites that fought against Grima: they too have ancestor of Marth and there allies units. AT somepoint whatever he finished fighting against the enemy units, he sometime rest in peace when he sleep or train, or see the entertainment to watch the "dancer" (whom are girls) to show for fun. He came from a poor background with a family; but managed to help with family for food and shelter working very hard; he moved out from the family home and deiced to stay at the palace of the king to become a better fighter and train him to become a warrior for years to come. He is also a anti-Emblan person, he wishes not to get involved to Askr relationship with Embla empire; he has dislike "Princess Veronica" who is the one that wanted to rule over "Askr" or destroy the homeland which it is her plans of doing; but failed many time - well he does fight against "Emblan" empire for sometime, not often.

Her wildness no one can confine
She’s of the wilderness
A soul destined to be free
Across the snowy landscape
Traveling through eternity
Magnificent and graceful
Hoping humans will just let her be
Ok, this guy has been here for couple of weeks, but I have had so many other stuffs ( + Mirella) so there is only few people who knows about him. xD
I blame him on Fyrd. She got herself a nendo fever and reintroduced me to these buggers. I had seen them before, but never had name for them, and I just desited to see what is available. I just grinned, thought there would be nothing for me since I like very few animes and such, and so on, and I was sure I'd never get one... and then I found this! x'DDD
IT'S A FRIGGING IRONMAN I MUST HAVE IT, DAMN YOU!
And I found him trough ebay and now he sit on the shelf. I might take him as my official mascot to my workplace at somepoint. But here, now everyone has seen him! xD
Of cars i want to own .......yes i want one of these in my life at somepoint . P669PLE a Bentley Mulsanne Turbo at Coventry Motorfest . Photo taken 07/08/21
this came straight after the last sketch as you can probably tell, but has more refined elements to give it meaning. Its about how religion was used as a way to control the mind of the masses back in the day but has been replaced by the media, like 24hr news. We've entered the age of propaganda.
Haha well thats what was running around in my brain when i did it.
This is the sketch coloured, although with probably still atler it at somepoint.
I do hope that all of my wonderful Flickr contacts will excuse my absense. But I've been sidetracked by a lot and continued to take a break from photogrphy.
But, that is sure to change now that I am in Buenos Aires (!!!)
And this beautiful woman is Cristina.
She was well worth waiting for.
I landed in Buenos Aires on Monday morning after an overnight flight from Dullas International Airport. The trip was surprisingly easy. I never expected I would enjoy flying. Next time I have to get a window seat.
The only downside to my trip so far is my missing glasses...We took a taxi to her apartment from the airport...and I set my glasses on my lap at somepoint. When we got out of the car at her apartment, the taxi had already turned to corner by the time i realized what had happened.
But hey, that is a veeeeeeeery small price to pay for finally being with Cristina.
I haven't taken many pictures yet, after all, I've just about every minute when I am awake with Cristina :)
I will post more photos and talk more (I talk to much don't i?) later.
Take care all!
My newest camera I just finnished rebuilding! It was a Polaroid 360 land camera and now its a Pinhole Polaroid camera that takes the o so wonderfull 669 film. Its got a fancy viewfinder, tripod mount, wooden faceplate and a lens cap that keeps everything light tight. When I get to a scaner at somepoint i'll upload some of the photos Ive been working on with this
Virtually the whole fleet of Avantis Class 221s were at Crewe at somepoint on Sunday 12th June. Either at Crewe Station or Crewe Carriage Shed.
230 008, 221 116 and 221 103 on Crewe Cariage shed. Six other Voyagers were also on shed.
I got these two adorable cats from the etsy store Sewgood and promptly noticed how adorable they looked with Boo.
They are the cutest little things and everyone should buy one at somepoint.
The kittie creator's tumblr: sewgoods.tumblr.com/
They announce when new batches are up on there.
This is probably the last you'll see of Boo in this dress as I've redone her old one and am working on a second one. this dress will be kept safe until I get a second littlefee. Boo sadly, just seems to suit white best.
I had these made up, something I put together to place at depot an a few other places for those who do not use the internet. $40 for 200 wasn't a bad deal :)

East Coast sent their drivers on a route training trip from Bounds Green depot to Peterborough via Cambridge and Ely utilising a Class 67 this route knowledge will be used at somepoint in the future when East Coast need to drag their 91 sets via Cambridge and Ely to get to Peterborough.
Despite the line being electrified the 91s can not travel under their own power due to them needing so much of it they would literally stop every other train around it.

There’s Kiwis on the road! It’d be awesome to see one for real on this trip at somepoint. We must see signs for them several times a day – you’d think you’d be tripping over them ;)
Turns out they’re actually nocturnal little fellas so we’ll have to keep our eyes peeled when we pop out the tent for a wee in the night ;)
Twin Bole Kauri
Another big’en. This was quite a magical spot hidden off the road – sun beaming through. Pretty awesome spot for an elevenses snack I’d say ? :)

Offices of a clothing factory and constructed in darker brick than its near neighbours. Aluminium windows have replaced the originals somepoint in the past.
A show condition Kadet found in a car park in Cochem. This model was clearly enthustast owned as I had to hurry him because he was taking photos of his car and I was after the neighbouring space in this very busy car park.
The inside was immaculate, and featuring a sheet of paper on the dash, showing a picture and explaining all about the car (in German of course), the car wasn't for sale. This show car was owned by a man in his late 30's/early 40's? This car has remained local to the small rural village it was found in, signified by the COC showing Cochem. Going by the modern numberplate, I'm assuming this car has changed owners at somepoint post 2000. Another downside was the scratch by the petrol cap, but I'm sure he'll tend to that.
Anyone know the year?
I had this game when I was ten or eleven but it went missing at somepoint a long the way. I picked this up on ebay a week ago and taught Tom how to play, he beat me twice!
For more info about this and any board game check out this website:
This building was once an antique shop.
In 2004, Ramz Hall, a student housing building under construction across the street, caught fire and quickly became an inferno. The wind blew the fire across the street burning buildings all the way to the interstate. This building caught fire and the 2nd floor was left as a burnt out shell. The water made the ceilings collapse .
A picture (not mine) of this building after the fire:

It sat vacant after that for months, the windows mostly broken out, graffiti all over, and a fence surrounding it. They was talk that the rest of this block could be torn down (another parking lot? probably). Luckily that didn't happen and a beautiful restoration took place.
The last storefront used to be a place to park cars. I assume it was some modification done at somepoint in the 60s-70s. It has now been tranformed into a storefront once again with an appropriate look. The windows go all of the way up to match the rest of the building.

Lucky Store located at the Edgewood Shopping Center in Palo Alto,CA. This was one of the very few shopping centers designed by Joesph Eichler who was a pioneer in mid-century housing. This store was a victim along with 37 additional stores closed by Albertsons in August 2006. The expansive glass work was covered over at somepoint (possibly by Lucky during the 1990's). The future of this shopping center doesnt look good however things might turnaround.
