Healthy Snack

Maybe if I photograph some healthy foods it will encourage me to eat some too.

Lit with my two studio lights on their lowest power, again in softboxes and placed at right angles to the table.

I also added the textured background in photshop after creating a mask for the fruit and then adding a vignette.

Captured in natural light, this little moment shows how much character and charm nature hides in everyday parks.

The greenfinches are regular visitors to my garden. Here they are having a late afternoon snack.

Superbowl Sunday not only produced the most epic sunrise display of color I've seen in a long time. During the game I looked outside and saw a glow on some trees and immediately checked the local cams to see what was up. Needless to say we quickly made our way to the golf course for a wicked sunset. Back to back burns!

A bald eagle with a bit of fish perches atop a moss-covered weathered piling at Harrison Mills, BC. He/she will soon be joined by more and more eagles as the northern rivers start to freeze and the fall salmon migration continues on the Fraser/Harrison Rivers.

Going thru previous trips and finding images I haven't posted. This common loon was showing great patience feeding this days old chick. Three time the adult gave the treat, retrieving when the chick dropped it..3rd time was the charm.

Apparently snack breaks aren’t just for humans. This dragonfly decided to go grab some take away mid photo session.

This is a "SNACK" in Japan, typically run by a female owner who serves alcohol. Karaoke is often available for customers to enjoy. The interior of the bar and the menu are not visible from outside. The establishment is identified as a SNACK by the fact that the female owner’s first name is used as the name of the bar.

Not the most colorful snack but then the earthtone snacks are the most health, Dried Turkish Figs and Walnuts for the Flickr Friday Snack.
