White-necked Heron (Ardea pacifica)
This Heron had found a tasty lizard in the Sneydes Rd. Paddock a couple of years ago.
Could not believe my luck in spotting this little chipmunk having its snack in such a beautiful setting. Seen on a hike at Lone Fir campground in the north cascade mountains in WA
After we had a good snack. Time to jump on your back. Piggy back me home for a cozy and quality time together. The best there is. I love you my babes. >3

Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia) feeding on cactus fruit; I like the story here. The Song Sparrow has a bit of fruit on its upper beak perched by the whole fruit that has obviously been opened and fed upon by a number of birds. I also like the oval shapes of the fruits beside the semi- oval shape of the sparrow's breast. The entire scene was in low light, and the bkg took considerable processing, but you take what you get with backgrounds, and I like the result; Sony a9; Sony 200-600mm lens + 1.4X at 840 mm; handheld; ISO 6400; 1/2000 sec; f/9;

These ewes will be getting ready to lamb very soon. Some of them managed to turn their heads away from the food long enough to have a look at the person with the camera. Their interest in us didn’t last and all mouths were soon back in the lunch bowl. It will be nice to see and hear the fields and moorland filled with the sights and sounds of spring lambs again, it’s very quiet out there at the moment with only the sounds of the birds.
