Next to the lake at the arboretum is this large field. As you can see some of the Canada Geese were helping themselves to what must have been very tasty indeed!
Ginger scrapes the last of the peanut butter from the jar. Looks like there will be just enough.
This is part of a collage I made foe Sky last year. Thought it was time for it to stand on its own!

A tasty wee treat, smoked salmon, cucumber, tomato on a bed of Philadelphia cheese and garnished with sliced lemon all on top of a Scottish oatcake.

Rainbow Lorikeets in my garden.
Wishing you all, wonderful days with your cameras...I'm away for a bit, but I will try and fave/comment when I can.
Sabrina, Ivy, and Holly enjoy a backyard snack in June of 2002. For me, looking at these old photographs of the kids comes as kind of a jolt, because they're all so small. What I especially notice is how round their little heads and faces are. For people on Flickr, compare with Society is Finally Safe, a shot from a two years later, to get a sense of the kind of impact I feel.

I spotted this North American opossum cleaning up underneath a bird feeder at a local nature center on a recent day. About the size of a domestic house cat, these critters are said to have been around for 70 million years, and are one of Earth’s oldest surviving mammals.
When threatened, opossums are known for “playing possum,” by rolling over, stiffening up and appearing to be dead. This guy didn’t do that though. After he spotted me, he simply scurried away and disappeared into an opening underneath the nature center building.
This looked like a very young Squirrel to me... He looked so cute nibbling away at his little snack. I hope he stocks up on food for this winter..We're supposed to have one of the coldest here in Minnesota this year..Yikes! ;
Have a lovely day everyone!
Thanks so much to everyone for their comments and faves..Had no idea this was in Explore! ; )
