Spiders are incredibly lonesome, they are of very much an introversion I can identify with. They literally have their "patch" so to speak, but beyond that, they're pretty much on their own. All other Spiders tend to mind their space and seldom, besides mating, do they intrude on another's web or patch, without a fierce face off with the legitimate owner. With their high population, they are aggressively competitive and I've seen these Spiders tread carefully when passing another's web.
Over the hill of this week, hope everyone is well and so as always, thank you! :)

Purple Gallinule - Their large feet help them to walk on the long stems of vegetation - This one started climbing from the other side of the walkway up the plant until it bent over the railing from the birds weight - at which point it walked out to the end of the plant - seen here about to eat the blooms.

This was the closest fishing pass that I saw while I was there, late in the day with nice low lighting from behind. The fish that was caught was a bit on the small side-- you can barely see it in there-- but that made it a good size to consume on the wing. I didn't catch the transfer, but I got some later shots where the eagle had shifted its meal to its mouth by the time it reached the far side of the river. Mississippi River at Clarksville, Missouri.
Thanks for the visits, faves and comments its greatly appreciated.

Yellow Warblers spend the breeding season in thickets and other disturbed or regrowing habitats, particularly along streams and wetlands. They eat mostly insects that they pick from foliage or capture on short flights or while hovering to reach leaves. Typical prey include midges, caterpillars, beetles, leafhoppers and other bugs, and wasps.
A bite sized crisp Scoop, with warm creamy nacho cheese, and a dollop of salsa on top. One of my favorite snacks.

Snacking, but not on a graham cracker...!
The snack could be a barking gecko, Ptenopus garrulus, whose beautiful chorus is heard at dusk when males sit at the entrance of their burrows, and with only their heads showing, call "kek-kek-kek" to attract females. The snack here seems female - it looks like she was laying eggs when she became prey.
