In Dharavi, a slum in Mumbai.
Asia's largest slum, Dharavi, lies on prime property right in the middle of India's financial capital, Mumbai (Bombay).
It is home to more than a million people. Many are second-generation residents, whose parents moved in years ago.
Today's Dharavi bears no resemblance to the fishing village it once was. A city within a city, it is one unending stretch of narrow dirty lanes, open sewers and cramped huts.
In a city where house rents are among the highest in the world, Dharavi provides a cheap and affordable option to those who move to Mumbai to earn their living.
Rents here can be as low as 185 rupees ($4/£2.20) per month. As Dharavi is located between Mumbai's two main suburban rail lines, most people find it convenient for work.
Even in the smallest of rooms, there is usually a cooking gas stove and continuous electricity.
Cole was feeding Lily and Moses hay & peppermints.. Madeline got some too.

The neighbouring snack bar to the one we used each day. That's Zakynthos Town further up the coast, just a few km away.

July 9 - Favourite snack
Both my daughter and I have taken to liking the Cool Mint Chocolate CLIF bar. A bit dessert and a bit 'healthy'.
Thrown in with some cookies and ginger ale from United, and a small orange I brought, it turned out to be a nice snack.

We got so many snacks from Germany along with our Ikea Vitra miniatures! Jack doesn't know where to start. I could figure most of them, except the mysterious green tube...LOL.
MOC: Snack Bar. I originally designed this in MLCad - apart from the tree, as you can see, which was built by Marco ('Ecclesiastes). This is the first version - the final one, in the other pictures, has a wider and slightly taller step in front.
We had a morning shoot outside the city. The closest thing we had for breakfast was "taho" (a drink made of soy beans). We also had company but she was either to shy to look at the camera or was interested in her mid-morning snack.
I got kind of a late start on knowing what today's theme was. I didn't get a chance to look it up until late Sunday night but I was tired and slept on it. I was going to photograph nine peanuts or coffee beans but I was eating nine red grapes for a morning snack. I know I didn't get totally in close to this bunch of nine grapes but I don't think you'd be able to see all nine if I did get 1:1. Maybe the coffee beans would have been better.

Happy Macro Monday. - Dan
In Giapponia hanno gli Snack o Snack bar,non fatevi ingannare dal nome,non hanno (quasi) nulla a che vedere con quelli occidentali;
