This was the first day that this Northern Hawk Owl owlet had been out of the nest. It had somehow managed to make its way to the ground and later, clawed its way up this short, very thin tree. The mother flew in with a tasty Meadow Vole for her youngster. This photo was taken a few weeks ago, so by now, the owlet will be flying free, safe from predators.
Please don't post your photos here nor GLITTERY IMAGES. They will be removed. Don't invite me to any group. I will not accept ;-)
Until I can track down one of those old school hanging vegetable baskets (never find-able when you want one!) this will have to do. The girls don't seem to mind.
Let's see...From left to right, we have Blackbeak, Paloma, Matilda, not sure, another Dot (other than Blackbeak, I have a hard time telling the Australorps apart), Dot, Latte, and Dot.
Sad, I know. But other than Blackbeak, who is gigantic with a small comb, I can't tell the Australorps apart that well. Sorry, girls. They all get fed and petted the same.
MOC: Snack Bar. Obviously, the food is just as overpriced here as in every other LEGO shop. Ice cream? That'll be 100. Hot dog? 100. The world's biggest burger? Yup. 100 it is.
My friend Yuko sent me these Japanese traditional beans snacks for my birthday.
Oh I miss all these fine treats in Japan !
And to Terue: thanks for the Soba !
