MOC: Snack Bar. This is the underside of the roof, showing how the two halves are connected - it's the same bracket technique I used for the sign, but with brackets on both sides of the roof. The tiles are there to guide the roof into place on top of the building.

In Dharavi, a slum in Mumbai.
Asia's largest slum, Dharavi, lies on prime property right in the middle of India's financial capital, Mumbai (Bombay).
It is home to more than a million people. Many are second-generation residents, whose parents moved in years ago.
Today's Dharavi bears no resemblance to the fishing village it once was. A city within a city, it is one unending stretch of narrow dirty lanes, open sewers and cramped huts.
In a city where house rents are among the highest in the world, Dharavi provides a cheap and affordable option to those who move to Mumbai to earn their living.
Rents here can be as low as 185 rupees ($4/£2.20) per month. As Dharavi is located between Mumbai's two main suburban rail lines, most people find it convenient for work.
Even in the smallest of rooms, there is usually a cooking gas stove and continuous electricity.

I love Dr. Pepper, unfortunately I don't love, or even like, Diet Dr. Pepper. So I only occasionally buy Dr. Pepper at the grocery store. I do get a small one at McDonald's from time to time, though.
The neighbouring snack bar to the one we used each day. That's Zakynthos Town further up the coast, just a few km away.

Both my daughter and I have taken to liking the Cool Mint Chocolate CLIF bar. A bit dessert and a bit 'healthy'.
Thrown in with some cookies and ginger ale from United, and a small orange I brought, it turned out to be a nice snack.
Good or bad, Ken & I are kind of addicted to this cold white cheddar popcorn from Golden Flake! To make matters worse, Walmart seems to have dropped ALL their Golden Flake items- what gives??!! Anyway, when we find this at the Dollar General- it's OURS!! YUM!!! Let the pigging out begin!

This little guy was looking all over the park for snacks at the end of the day. I couldn't help but stop and get a few pictures of him.
The other day after I finished work I went for a walk and was pleasantly surprised to discover a Dutch-Indonesian restaurant near my home. I've had Dutch-Indonesian meals in Holland before and I really liked it. So today after I work I did something that is extremely rare -- I went to get takeout/ takeaway food! My Dutch friends would feel proud!
