Originated in Chiayi, the chicken rice has been a very common street food in Taiwan, just like the braised pork rice.

Although there is "chicken" in its name, we actually use turkey meat for the dish, with a spoon of turkey fat & a slice of pickled radish usually.

Slicing against the grain. Not too bad with this knife, even though it's the wrong type, it's very sharp. Here I am slicing the point. I also used a cleaver a bit, and I also tried my electric knife just to see how that would work. I liked this knife best. By the time your done you're full because of the snacks. ;-)
