Moving away from cakes this is a chocolate carrot cake with cream cheese icing. The design is a tribute to a recent project ending and represents a key diagram we produced. The colours are muted (as with the real diagram) but that means the icing-writing isn't very visible. Lesson learned - homage shouldn't be slavish. But loving working with royal icing - piping if you will. I want to be like Mary Smith - Ace of Cakes!
Plus: discovered that Aussie has Icing sugar - which is easy to clumping and icing mixture. The sugar is less sweet but clumpy. The icing mixture is soft but too sweet and dense (see previous cake comments).
Shout out to bubble writing at the bottom right. Apparently there are two types - keeping it real and fancy (i.e. with the ._ reflections)
BOOK END FRIENDS holding up a variety of books-
--------------
BOOK END FRIENDS- A book is worth a thousand pictures! This project is made using a Verna charm pack. It also has linen, a few scraps for "pictures" and embroidery. The buckle holds the books tight, and the strap is adjustable depending on the width of books to hold. There are wood 2x8's in the book ends themselves to hold them sturdy. The front is backed with batting and quilted with loops. The strap is fused with Thermolam fleece.

Day 324/365

a slice of garlic - looked like the etisalat logo to me
50mm fixed mounted on the body and 28mm fixed reversed abutting the 50mm; no mounting rings, the second lens was just touching the main lens; hand held.
am not sure if this is more cake or more brownie. it is called mississippi mud and is pure chocolate decadence. it has SO many calories that it will need to be eaten over the course of days ~grin~
btb, it was a good thing that i took a pic of it at the store because the container met with a sliding disaster in the car and didn't look nearly as nice :):)

"Veganism is not a fringe philosophy – it is a moral baseline that is consistent with beliefs that most of us already hold. Veganism is a simple matter of refraining from participating in unnecessary and harmful use of sentient beings. As most people are naturally opposed to unnecessary violence, becoming and staying vegan is not a matter of changing any of our basic moral beliefs. It simply requires us to be willing to change the habits we have developed that prevent us from
living according to our principles."

Another new project. I watched the tutorial in Photoshop Top Secret and to be honest, I didn't think I would be able to create this, but it turned out OK. If you ever get the chance to buy Photoshop Top Secret then do so as it is a fantastic way to learn how to use Photoshop properly.
Just playing with some tomatoes on a white piece of paper. Daylight lamp in front on the right, reflector on the left.
