We went to the NCMA last night to see Chaka Khan at the outdoor concert stage. It was a clear crisp night to sit outside and enjoy a show. Must say that we were disappointed with her show. She didn't play long and left the stage in the middle of her set to let the band play for awhile.
The NCMA has a large collection of Rodin Sculptures. This piece sits outside at the entrance to the outdoor theater. We were waiting in line to get in and I looke up and thought that it fit the Slice theme.

Used Lightroom and Topaz Studio 2 to add some texture and enhance the colors. Used PS to add the border and marquee border.

BOOK END FRIENDS- A book is worth a thousand pictures! This project is made using a Verna charm pack. It also has linen, a few scraps for "pictures" and embroidery. The buckle holds the books tight, and the strap is adjustable depending on the width of books to hold. There are wood 2x8's in the book ends themselves to hold them sturdy. The front is backed with batting and quilted with loops. The strap is fused with Thermolam fleece.

a slice of garlic - looked like the etisalat logo to me
50mm fixed mounted on the body and 28mm fixed reversed abutting the 50mm; no mounting rings, the second lens was just touching the main lens; hand held.
am not sure if this is more cake or more brownie. it is called mississippi mud and is pure chocolate decadence. it has SO many calories that it will need to be eaten over the course of days ~grin~
btb, it was a good thing that i took a pic of it at the store because the container met with a sliding disaster in the car and didn't look nearly as nice :):)

Here is my submission for the Moda Contest.
It is a wall organizer that is divided by 3 different panels and attached by 4 buckles. I can put my rulers, scissors, patterns, files, notes and any ongoing projects in this. It is every versatile.
I used a layer cake from the Papillon collection. You could easily use charm packs, jelly rolls and/or turnovers to make this.
The pictures are not the best, and I apologize for the shadows. But it is hanging on a curtain rod up behind my sewing table so I have easy access to it. Also, I chose to hang it from a rod so it is not taking up any room on my work table.

Another new project. I watched the tutorial in Photoshop Top Secret and to be honest, I didn't think I would be able to create this, but it turned out OK. If you ever get the chance to buy Photoshop Top Secret then do so as it is a fantastic way to learn how to use Photoshop properly.
