Taking a daytrip to Osaka, I came across a number of restaurants selling these skewers of breaded vegetables and the sort. It was obvious that I had to try some out myself. So, being just after noon, I had to order what goes well with this meal: a nice tall chilled glass of beer!
I had the omakase, or chef's recommendation, which consisted of 10 pieces of skewers. The interesting addition to the meal was the raw cabbage that he provided me with, along with some sauce to dip in. It was so simple, yet made for a good appetizer.
This was taken a few weeks back, at Dom's rooftop Beijing BBQ. I believe he got these skewers from Carrefoure. :-P They were very yum!
We found an area with tables and grills on a hike and thought we should try. Fun to look for branches to make a fire and just enjoy the nice weather in the forest with family (and the food)!

Our old skewers were nice and light and did a good job of holding the
wheels in the frame but truth be told I was never 100% happy with the
handle's shape so we commissioned a new design.
The shafts are made from 6-4 titanium and all the nuts and levers are
CNC'd aluminium. The lever pivots on a small brass ball joint to keep
things nice and smooth. The levers are slightly longer and much
flatter than our old version and are much more comfortable to use,
plus each handle has a laser-etched Wheelworks W. Each pair weighs
only 48 grams.
These skewers are included with all of our custom road wheels.
