Finally got a BBQ, we made beef skewers with heaps of veg, had a few beers whilst building and lighting the BBQ, shared a (not all of) a very nice bottle of Italian red wine whilst cooking and eating. Followed it off with strawberries and icecream. Gotta love the summer.

Just starting to get the pig on the spit--which was a long whittled sapling, it looked like.

These are awesome!!! My husband prepared and grilled these for dinner, and I was a very happy camper as a result. :-D The recipe can be found at www.wholefoodsmarket.com/recipes/vegetarian/chimichurrise....

Spicy, But Oh So Nice!

There's no messing up with these spicy, Sambal-laced grilled chicken skewers. They've always been there for me, and they'll always be there for you. Kebabs get a bad rap. (Decades of alternating zucchini coins and cherry tomatoes can do that.) But this Asian take, with a spicy, sticky glaze, makes for a very convincing comeback.

You know what's fun, y'all? Threading pieces of meat and veggies onto wooden sticks. Seriously! I could do it all day.

A brush of barbecue sauce to finish them off.

Didn't eat this bit too different for me.
