Day 3: week of work starts to the delight of our daughter. The day passes with the first coating in two bedrooms. Just a little time to draw my man at work, and in the evening, tasting mushrooms (boletus) picked in the woods. double spread in honor of men hard working and also cooking in the kitchen;-).
jour 3 : la semaine de travaux démarre à la grande joie de notre fille. Journée 1ère passe d'enduit dans deux chambres. Juste un peu de temps pour dessiner mon homme à l'oeuvre, et le soir, la dégustation de cèpes ceuillis dans le coin. Une page de sketch à l'honneur des hommes sur les chantiers et à la cuisine ;-).

Nyu from "elfen lied" this scenes expression was priceless, i was so hyper i just went straight into the sketch, forget detail ! , just emotion !
btw, her head is kinda slumped down into her shoulders because shes that happy.... try it ! lol =)

Materials used: Micron pen, watercolor, Prismacolor, Sharpie, Chartpak design marker, Copic marker. On Strathmore 80 lb drawing paper.
This is a compostion of four different sketches in a small street in Porto stitched together with photoshop. The actual scene was like this. Drawn on location. Pencil, copic marker and water color on paper.
"Why would anyone draw a dumpster?"
was asked by one passer by as I was finishing up. I just said, "Why Not?"
Um rascunho de 5 minutos de um 'weird guy'. Não costumo fazer caricaturas ou desenhar pessoas, especialmente quando elas me pedem. Bom, o Thom não pediu pra que eu o desenhasse, mas isso foi uma pausa pro café e acabei achando o resultado divertido. Não vou finalizar. Vai ficar assim mesmo.

A 5-minute sketch of a weirdo face. I don't use to cartooning people, specially when they ask me for. Well... Thom did'nt ask me for a draw, but this was a really coffee time moment, and I think the result is funny. i wont finish with ink. That's all.

This is one of my favorite sketches. Each stroke is seperate but they make a whole and It probably took me two hundred pen and ink sketches to get to this and now I'm not quite in practice.
I watched a video on how to do sketches from very quick poses (between 15s and 1 minute), which is basically scribbling and trying to build up a sense of the form without getting bogged down in details.
These little sketches on a post-it note were more or less my first attempt, going from a couple of 30 second poses I found on a video at Croquis Café.
At the moment, this is my favourite technique for shorter poses.
