I usually bring my moleskine sketchbook whenever I sit waiting for my plane to wherever I am going. This time I was waiting in Denmark on my way to Dublin when this man decided to sit quietly ahead of me.

I found these sketches a few days ago after 4 years at the bottom of a box full of old notebooks, books, photos and many other forgotten stuff. The final drawing's been posted for quite some time.
Encontre estos bocetos hace un par de dias luego de 4 años en el fondo de una caja llena viejos cuadernos, libros, fotos y varias otras cosas olvidadas. El dibujo final ya lleva bastante tiempo posteado.

Some of the masters sketched out the individual items they would put in a painting. I just made that up--but I majored in Art in College so I know it is true of some artists. I am in a very exhausted state once more and we continue to wait for the new baby--hopefully soon.
Uploading sketches I did a few months ago that led to a new piece I'm finishing up. Final piece is almost ready to show!

somos tão parecidos em praticamente tudo, mas é na nossa diferença, e a única talvez, que encontro a cura para toda minha ansiedade em querer ter as respostas antes mesmo de elaborar perguntas as quais não quero fazer.

Sketch Class
26 June 2013 -- 177/365
Providence, Rhode Island
Once again I headed downcity for some street photography at lunch for today's photo session. Along the riverfront I encountered an art class from RISD doing a series of sketches of the high rise buildings across the river. This one student was sitting apart from the class and, of all of them, had the most complete sketch on paper. Just as I started to explain the photo-a-day concept and ask if he minded being photographed, another student came running up and said, "He's going to lunch now. He's going to lunch." A bit annoyed, I simply responded, "My shutter is at 1/1000 second. I think he'll make it." The student in the photo, however, never even looked up. He ignored both of us. When I knelt to take the photo, the other intrusive student scampered off. Interestingly, the teacher that was with them never said a word.
Post processing started with a brilliant warm filter in Topaz Adjust. I adjusted adaptive exposure, regions, and contrast. A levels adjustment was added in PSE.
