Starkiller's two head sculpts (standard and "rage") are original sculpts depicting the character from the concept art and not that of the actor. When I have time I will go back and sculpt an actor likeness.
The shoulder armor is a seperate piece and is attached by a clear band around the shoulder.
The body is a full sculpt using a custom made articluated frame or armature. The figure contains 14 points of articulation.
Included to hilts which are built from existing parts, can be attached to chest using clear banding. Also included are to sabers with attached beams. Lightsabers do not light up.
The arena robes are from the Darth Maleval box set and was altered/reworked then painted to give a worn look. Hood is from a VOTC Darth Sideous, altered and repainted.
Figure was sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt and hand painted using Testors Polyscale and Floquil acrylics.
Paint progress on "The Beast" - ALIEN 79 - 1:18 scale. Yes it's a phallic gesture....it's GIGER for crying out loud. What do you expect! Anyway, so I'm closing in on completing the paint work for the several head variants I have created for the beast. This particular variant depicts the creature as it revealed itself to Brett and Jonesy in the landing gear bay of the Nostromo. It's dome and flesh of the beast appears to look pale, possibly the lighting they used or the fact that the creature recently shed it's skin?...very creepy and disturbing so I had to recreate it in 1:18 scale smile emoticon . #alien #nostromo #giger #painting #sculpting
Started to sculpt the centerpiece to the Nostromo sleep chamber, bringing all seven separate chambers together. ALIEN 1979 - 1:18 scale. I considered creating the center station entirely out of sheet styrene but decided a combination of clay, cast and styrene will work best. First step will be to sculpt the body of the centerpiece...minimal detail at best. Second will be to mold and cast the finished sculpt, cast and refine shape. Next I'll add detail with sheet styrene and other greeblie work needed and finally mold and cast the finished piece, bring the pods back together and mend gaps using epoxy making the connections seamless. #alien #sleepchamber #nostromo #sith_fire30
Completed 1:18 scale, 4.25" tall sculpt of Darth Malgus - Sith Lord from the Lucasarts/Bioware MMO game Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Figure is a complete sculpt using a custom articluated frame as it's armature. The 8 different heads have all been sculpted and hand painted - each depicting a window of time in the life of Malgus and inspired by the cinematic trilogies created by Blur Studios: Return, Hope and Deceived.

All armor is hand sculpted and original. The chest and left shoulder armor are removable and can be replaced with "battle damaged" armor as an alternate. Hood is a sculpted piece and works along side the soft goods cape which is an altered piece from a store bought VOTC Darth Vader.
Lightsaber is hand sculpted, casted in plastic. Saber does not light up. Bean is removable from hilt.
Sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt and hand painted using Testors Polly Scale and Floquil acrylics.
Working on the Fifield creature frame - a very rough early shot of the completed articulation. Prometheus 1:18 scale. A shot of Fifield (Sean Harris) next to his CGI monster counterpart. Both works in progress. The frame for the creature will have max articulation. Need to be a little taller. The hands and feet will be sculpted (using parts for placement). Looks ridiculopus right now but as the sculpt progresses it will look less silly and more horrifying...I hope. #Prometheus #fifield #seanharris #cgi #fifieldcreature #alien #nostromo #sith_fire30
Completed casting of the Nostromo Bridge MUTHUR Entrance - 1:18 scale. ALIEN 1979. #alien #nostromo #model #smoothon
Haven't cleaned the cast yet - plan on doing that this evening. Back to sculpting for next week then later begin building the ALT entrance panel (opposite of the MUTHUR entrance) as well as building the small corridor that leads to the MUTHUR computer. Then paint all three panels at once. "Small moves, Ellie, small moves".....
Sculpt progress on the Space Jockey - ALIEN 79 - 1:18 scale. Began sculpting the arms of the creature using Aves FIXIT s my sculpting material. Sharp/clean areas will be weathered, softened. The next step will be the shoulders, body and upper back portaion of the chair. Hands will be last before moving on to the rest of the piece. More to come! Figure and diorama updates to come as well - just wanting to get a good chunk of this guy completed. #alien #nostromo #spacejockey #hrgiger #lv426 #derelict #avesfixitsculpt #sculpture #diorama
Sculpt updates!! First is an alternate version of Ripley's (Sigourney Sigourney Weaver) head sculpt. Gave her some bangs as she appeared early in the film and one version will have a head set. Not long till we get to paint!!! #alien #ripley #sigouneyweaver #nostromo #sith_fire30
Predator: The Hunter 1:18 scale update. Sitting amongst his prey.
This guy knows how to party huh? LOL! - Finished sculpting the first stage of the open mandible version. Off to a mold bath. The next stage will be the fangs for the mouth and the mandibles. Then paint a sample and finally add the dreads. Torso is being sculpted, will cast the neck guard in rubber which will cover the revoltech joint underneath.
The many sculpts of Kane (Sir John Hurt) - 1:18 scale - ALIEN 79. Works in Progress. Using a new batch of head sculpts (my original 1/12 scale sculpts) reduced using Hydroshrink. I'd still like to get the EVA head sculpt a little smaller...#kane #alien #nostromo #johnhurt #figure #miniature #sculpture #avesfixitsculpt

Completed 1:18 scale, 5" tall articulated sculpt of one half of the Moomo Brothers bounty hunter team, Del Moomo. This character can be found in the pages of Dark Hose comics Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic written by John Jackson Miller and inspired by the artwork of Brain Ching.
Figure is a complete sculpt for the exception of the hands, neck of the head and parts of the feet. The sculpt was build around a custom built articulated frame.
Figure has 12 points of articulation.
Sculpt made with Aves FIXIT.
Hand painted using Testors Polyscale and Floquil acrylics.
Progress on the Translucent Alien Concept variant - Alien 79 - 1:18 scale. I have all the pieces of the beast cast in clear resin - Smooth-on Crystal Clear 200. Painted the head and torso - Still a work in progress as I paint and piece each piece together. Unfortunately I'm loosing some of the translucence via the paint process..I may revisit the casting again using a milky white pigment alone and simply add a wash to the body. #alien #nostromo #translucent #painting
Sculpt update on the Alien Warrior - 1:18 scale - ALIENS 86. Completed the small scaled head sculpt of the Alien Warrior. The first attempt had the head too wide, the second was too short in length....the third though is just right smile emoticon The lower jaw is a borrowed cast from my ALIEN79 beastie. I plan to create some variants similar to the 79 version. Now - back to sculpting the upper torso and plenty of head sculpts that need to be painted. #aliens #alien #warrior #queen #hive #sculpture #art #monsterinthebasement
Nostromo build update..."Mother" Security Portal - ALIEN 79 - 1:18 scale. "Security Portal" - it's the doorway section with the supposed scan that lights up allowing access to the "Mother's Womb" as Ridley Scott likes to call it. The first section of the corridor that leads to the Nostromo's master computer - a work in progress. I realized it's a tad taller than it should be...not much of a concern. Had to compensate for making the entrance from the bridge a tad too large. Still works smile emoticon
SO MUCH DETAIL into what I thought would be a simple panel wall. The more I studied the photos however, the more I realized just how much attention was given to every corner of these stage designs. Brilliant and insane.
One day soon I will master LEDs and how to wire them appropriately. Knowing that, I decided to create the doorway using clear acrylic as the frame. This is so I can add LED panels to the exterior later and recreate the lighting effect. Currently, the light is emanating from a handheld LED light...but even this offers an awesome effect. Next step is to sculpt the padding to the interior of the doorway, add a control panel then begin to build out into the small security corridor. #nostromo #alien #mother #MUTHUR #mastercomputer #weyland #dallas #tomskerritt
Sculpting the "Sleep Mask" the Engineers wore during their century long slumber in the Orrery room. Prometheus - 1:18 scale. Last image is a production shot for the film. Not sure how long they slept but long enough to require a breathing apparatus #Prometheus #engineers #sleepchamber
My first H.R. Giger sculpt complete! Well, for the exception of the Alien of course. This piece will be multiplied and line the lower corridor wall of the derelict diorama I am working on. Sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt. #sith_fire30 #giger #hrgiger #alienderelict #biomechanicalart
So I misplaced my memory card for my camera and I'm stuck with sharing some crappy iPhone images of the Sulaco Sleep Chamber work in progress. ALIENS - 1:18 scale. I have the side railings complete, the next step is the protective cap and the canopy. Instead of vacuum forming the canopy though, I think I will build the frame and apply separate thick, clear acrylic sheets to the underside of the canopy within the frame. That additional piece in the shot is a casting of a corridor attachment for my Nostromo build #alien #aliens #sulaco #nostromo #breakfastinbed #sith_fire30
Sculpt progress on the "Dog" alien from ALIEN3 - 1:18 scale. Began sculpting the teeth last night. I still need to add some length and sharpness to the canines of the creature but I was more focused on the lips and gum line as well as the spacing for each tooth this go around.
Sculpt update on Kane: Burial Shroud. 1:18 scale, ALIEN 79. Some have asked where this is seen in the film - it isn't....not much anyway. The body is seen in the main airlock via the monitors Dallas and the rest of the crew are gathered around and the next time you see Kane is when the miniature prop appears to be shot out of the airlock into deep space.
The sculpt I am working on reflects mostly the 1:1 prop the production team created to shoot a scene where Kane's corpse would make a return later in the film - please read this excellent article that defines that scene....

Much more detail to be added and a variant head sculpt or two to be made. Happy to be creating a not so well known piece of ALIEN lore. #alien #nostromo #kane #burialshroud #deletedscene #observationdome #sculpt
