The espresso is really starting to get smooth - which is crazy considering how long this shot took. Looks amazing, but the best tastes were coming through in the shots prior.
The shot was on. Took me a few moments to run for the cam and the fragility of naked crema had already dissipated.
Honey flan with coffee granita and blood orange. Served with coffee prepared 3 ways (siphon, cold drip and espresso).

honduras single origin soy macchiato
black cat espresso
wicked cafe(downtown)vancouver
yesterday at wicked cafe i had a macchiato made with the single-origin espresso they had.BUT i was also made a shot of pure single-origin AND a shot of the classic black cat.not only is arthur a superb barista, but that was super nice of him.and then we got to talk about it.
the single origin espresso was super light, sweet, and smooth, and really fruity.i thought dried apricots, arthur said peaches.definitely a different taste, but that's not a bad thing.
the regular black cat was,as per usual, very strong, punchy, heavy, chocolatey.
and the macchiato which i enjoyed last, was phenomenal.seriously,it was candy sweet, and reminded me of milk duds.no joke.
i know,i'm only allowed 1 coffee a day this week, and i effed it up in about 15 minutes, but it was worth it.
