Piper knows it is the simple gifts that are often the best...like a tiny bird sitting in your hand!
Wishing all my lovely Flickr friends simple gifts of peace and love.
Won't you come see about me
I'll be alone dancing, you know it, baby
Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out
And love's strange: so real in the dark
Think of the tender things
That we were working on
Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets in your heart, baby
Simple Minds

while we were sitting in our car in the parking lot at Stink Beach, a van pulled in near us, the back door opened, and out tumbled a wiggle of little boys, the oldest maybe 7, all excited, the two mommies trying to gather up beach gear and also keep them herded, they were so cute, and then off they all happily skipped across the road to the beach. By the time we got down there, three kites were already high in the air with a delighted boy attached to each of them. The wind was perfect, a light stiff breeze, such a simple pleasure, it was wonderful to witness.

I may agonize over which of my so many pairs of hose I have in my drawer to put on but once I made my mind, I know exactly how to go about getting the best of it... Here, I try to explain, while holding the phone in my left hand, how I usually go about fitting my right hand into the right leg of the hose all the way to the end. No question, pantyhose and slips are important fetishes to me which date back all the way to the tender age of 12 when I discovered sexuality...
i definitely need a more simple structure right now. my whole week will turn into a slow and gnawing scortched earth in no time. finals are next week, and i am considering locking myself in my room (to be over-exaggerated). i've acquired some new bad habits in the last 24 hours as well.
like my new book that i am now hooked onto for dear life: twilight. i havent been so....animated while reading since JK first wrote all those lovely HP's. And this ones different. I just melt, basically. I can be such a sappy romantic. People who are mysterious and endearing like Edward....I really wish existed in the world. My Bf should be careful, this book could be a terrible obsession =p.
You know, the funny thing is, i read it in the library today when i should have been studying for my last lab test for biology. nope. i just read. and the worst part, i was mostly smiling the entire time at a table full of people. i even tried to cover my mouth with my jacket to keep from looking like an idiot.
oooo dear. i will get through this though. and my life will be simple again, if only for a few days.
As I grow older and the Earth grows smaller, I realize how important it is to take the time to observe and enjoy the the simplest of pleasures. It is a difficult thing to do today in this hurry up, high tech world we live in.....but take the time to just sit by the edge of a pond or on an outcropping of a hillside and watch the sunset and enjoy the simple pleasures. It brings such joy.....and it doesn't cost a thing :-)
This is not the first time I used this title. I used it again here: www.flickr.com/photos/nailbender/235979490/
I learned 2 things early on, my sister said. The first is don't blame people for being the way they are. What's the second? I said. She smiled. If they're really stupid she said, go ahead & blame them. It's a really simple philosophy, she added. The Story People
This quote pretty well sums up the relationship that Angie and Maya seem to have as sisters. Another image from our boardwalk adventures.
