Halifax Nova Scotia's old sector is filled with great wooden buildings with clean, simple lines.... This building is part of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.
A simple option for swoofty. It's about two plates shallower than the original version. Sliding the plates with clips along to the other end of the slopes makes the whole thing about one plate wider but removes the need to deal with the plate at the narrow end of the last slope. Might come in handy.
Actually, there is room for the plates to slide slightly toward the fat end of the slopes before the bar hits the inner edge of the slope...it might just be enough to prevent the plate at the end getting in the way.
Have a great weekend everyone! I have a new blog which I posted the other day, I had comments turned off! Duh!!! So would really appreciate anyone stopping by for a visit.

while we were sitting in our car in the parking lot at Stink Beach, a van pulled in near us, the back door opened, and out tumbled a wiggle of little boys, the oldest maybe 7, all excited, the two mommies trying to gather up beach gear and also keep them herded, they were so cute, and then off they all happily skipped across the road to the beach. By the time we got down there, three kites were already high in the air with a delighted boy attached to each of them. The wind was perfect, a light stiff breeze, such a simple pleasure, it was wonderful to witness.

A simple sign wasn’t enough for the Piedmont Boutique to attract the bawdy costume buyers it desired. Something more was needed. So the store hired local artist Barry Forman to stick a pair of gigantic legs out of the shop’s second floor windows. Complete with fishnet stockings and seductively bent knees, Forman says that the most difficult part of painting these legs was adding “sparkle” to the red high heels.
The unusual advertising technique has worked. Nowadays, the Piedmont Boutique is often known as “the store with the legs!” It’s come to be that this sexy attention-grabber is really the main draw. The legs have not only brought in new female shoppers but also a handful of male selfie-takers making poses beneath the legs. It’s a hotspot for photographers; many angle the camera to place the legs in the background of the adjacent “Haight-Ashbury” miniature street sign, which is personified with a thick mustache, yellow-tinted sunglasses, and a peace sign necklace.
The legs of the Piedmont Boutique have become a neighborhood icon and are even featured in San Francisco’s Madame Tussauds wax museum, in a slightly smaller yet less-weathered form.
As I grow older and the Earth grows smaller, I realize how important it is to take the time to observe and enjoy the the simplest of pleasures. It is a difficult thing to do today in this hurry up, high tech world we live in.....but take the time to just sit by the edge of a pond or on an outcropping of a hillside and watch the sunset and enjoy the simple pleasures. It brings such joy.....and it doesn't cost a thing :-)
