Flickr's slowness and much more ...
We all that are protesting, we all love flickr, if not it would be very easy to leave and migrate towards another site...
And we all will migrate if the new layout will be implemented without option, boycotting Yahoo and everything related to it !
Here another initiative, you can sign this:
and divulgate it.

When they took that sign down there were hopes it would find a new home elsewhere. But no; it's memorialized on a mural along with other bits of Brooklyn history, but that's it. Gowanus, Brooklyn
The Midwest in general is pretty behind the times, but we’re starting to see more places that are putting up positive signs of acceptance and love for all. I’ve been very thrilled to see it!
I run by this sign at McEwan University. It's just a monolith of LED lights. It has no real intelligence. The day and time are often wrong. Sometimes it lists the temperature, which is inevitably off by a few degrees. That said, it has this swooshy colourful twirl between wrong data sets. I find it mesmerizing, these swirly colours. I've concluded the whole thing is a metaphor for the future. But that's just my opinion, man...
Ghost sign on a building in Malden (MA) square. The interesting thing is that Black's Furniture & Carpet had ceased being a commercial enterprise almost a century ago and this sign has to at least pre-date the Great Depression, and yet it is still in remarkably good shape.
Sadly as of sometime in summer 2019, this sign was removed for good. Glad I did suddenly found my pic of this sign, and a rare pic with the neon on as well! Got totally lucky that day, since before then I never had lucked out in seeing the neon turned on here.

Sign-off. Eventually everyone does.
Some people may remember when TV didn't broadcast 24 hours every day. Some people may recall waking up in the early morning hours to something like this.
But that's not what this is about. It's about the contemplation of something greater. An interpretation of something we all are bound to, an inevitability of sorts.
I will leave it at that. I'll let the viewer think about what it may be. Or may not be.
This is the rusted and battered W sign from the Woodward's Department Store / Development in Vancouver, BC
It is a 3 shot HDR image created in Aurora HDR 2018.
Recently while having dinner to reconnect with some coworkers, I spotted this ghost of old signage near the restaurant.
