I have not found specific info on this mine barge/lighter yet except that its home port was Wilhelmshaven and it did duty on the North Sea.

I started making this and realized it reminded me a lot of that rainbow blanket that my mom had made when I was a baby.

The dried shell of a sea urchin, without its prickly cover. There are many of these scattered along the beach here where I'm staying in Maine.

This store was built in 1985. It was formerly a Happy Store Fuel Mart that became a Mobil/Miller Mart combo in 1994.

These 10 year olds were not put off by the idea of painting these shells without pencil first. They then used a line drawing on an acetate overlay to create an extra dimension.

All the goodness has been taken from this crab leaving just the shell. Macro Mondays theme "Shell".

I know, shells again :D This one was for the course I'm doing and I quite liked it. And yes, the shells came home with me!

My policy is to take a photograph and toss them back, as I think our beach needs all the sand it can get.

Picked through shells, fiddled with it for an hour. Just need to glue everything down.
