For Lesson 5 I drew a shell using an HB pencil. I think it took about 20 minutes, but I wasn't timing. ;) Feedback is greatly appreciated!
EDiM 13 May, something that has a shell, or a seashell. My daughter gave me these shells as 'treasure'..thought they were cute.

I have not found specific info on this mine barge/lighter yet except that its home port was Wilhelmshaven and it did duty on the North Sea.

Another from our visit to Mersea Island a few weeks ago.
This is for Carol, one of the amazingly great staff people back home that makes the world go round. (You know who I'm talking about - everyone organization has a few people like her!) She's also a wonderful gardener, and likes to keep little rocks and shells by her desk as a connection to the world that isn't constructed of plastic. We brought her a small group of stones from the English coast on our last sabbatical here, and I was thinking of her when I took this.
Some shells I found on the beach were lying outside the house to dry, still amazed about the beautiful lines and colors.
