I applied a shellac finish to this clock in the Spring of 2006. On July 9, 2009 I sanded the finish with no. 400 wet/dry sandpaper plus mineral oil mounted on a rubber sanding block, then buffed with no. 0000 extra-fine steel wool, followed by Turtlewax white automotive polishing compound, then finally applied Johnson's paste wax. Notice that the finish is much smoother and even than photos taken of the same clock in 2006.

I would love to hear from anyone who has anything on the Victory label, as I've so far failed to find any info about it...I think my brother gave me this, thanks Bruv!

Only a couple months later, and the amber shellac is wearing thin. I don't mind the look, but this may affect durability also.
