Day 170/365:

An iPhone shot of these coreopsis in a garden centre. They really caught my eye. No, I hadn't heard of coreopsis before either ;)

Macro Monday - Bottle

#100 - 100 x challenge - Lensbaby

Anything goes for 2021 - Glass

This is one of a trio of glass bottles I recently bought to use as reed diffusers...as well as photo props.

I took several images but this one of the bottle on its side just made me think of treasure laying at the bottom of the ocean. HMM

I am still so behind with comments so apologies if I haven't caught up with your latest images yet...I hope to manage that a little later today.

I'm pleased to have completed my 100 x challenge

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

When my husband suggested a walk, I didn't notice that I had the Laowa-manual-everything lens on the camera. That's a bit as if I took a film camera ;-))

Cloudy and sunny with sprinkles. This year promises to perform much more nicely than last year with its heat, dryness, and forest fires.

I have a reputation for loosing my gloves and hats (and sometimes umbrellas, too, if I ever use one) at a regular basis ... usually on the streetcar / tram, on the mountains or somewhere else out and about taking photos

... I don't mind wearing odd / different gloves (and socks) though, so I don't throw away the single ones ; ))

And there are actually columns dedicated to all the lonely gloves out there on "out of frame" (a student-edited platform for all things untold, unseen and forgotten, so they say):

Looking Close on Friday - Nothing in focus (black and white)

This is a succulent on my kitchen windowsill. You may just be able to make out a wire heart that is stuck in the pot...or maybe not!

#75 - 100 x challenge - Lensbaby

Lensbaby Twist 60

How lovely, seeing this little community of fungi, lichen and moss on a broken branch lying on the forest floor, benefitting each other in regard nutrients, shelter. So pretty, the colours and shapes.

I believe these are oyster mushrooms.

Day 253/365:

Smile on Saturday - Beads & Pearls

This is a bead bracelet that I bought from the Chelsea Flower Show in May. Happy memories of a wonderful day.

I also took a photo of pearls but wasn't too keen on it and preferred the simplicity of this one. HSoS

Someone (who will know who I mean) was asking for a slice of cake - so here you are 🍰

Display of a confectioner around the corner.

I'm not used to much sugar anymore and I'd probably get pretty sick if I ate a piece of this fancy cake, but it really looked soooo beautiful and inviting with those roses and macarons ...

So I was admiring it at least with my camera ; ))

Wishing you a happy (Whit) weekend

I will catch up later - busy eating cake right now, lol : ))

Alberni Street, downtown Vancouver. March 12, 2022.

Which is why we took fun walks and I fooled around with the only lens I brought on the July closing trip. Best viewed larger, if you, too, feel like fooling around.

Thanks for looking.

Caught him smelling the air and staring at random spots on the balcony. The sunny morning did the rest!

#7: 100 x challenge - Lensbaby

I love to see the snowdrops show their pretty little heads. It always feels like spring is just around the corner...this year more than ever we need signs of hope.

Montparnasse - Paris

Experimented with shallow depth of field in combination with backlighting to anonymize street shots with people. Wanted especially to include the shadows created by the sun. From October last year. After visiting a photo exhibition in Montparnasse (Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation) I got inspired to catch shadows :)
