"52 Weeks of Pics" week 4 - shadows
I used a tactical LED flashlight for the lighting, and a kids mood ring. I set it on the same page in the Webster's dictionary "shadow words"
After a morning in the woods, we spent the afternoon on the beach - miles and miles of sand and a snaking creek with masses of birds on the sand.
High above the river, the Walhalla opens onto a wide horizon.
The afternoon sun is captured at f/16, its light breaking into crisp rays that spread across the sky. The reflections on the Danube echo this brilliance, turning water into a band of silver.
Shot at ISO 100 and 1/125 s, the image preserves both the starburst in the sky and the details in the shadowed foreground.
The composition emphasizes how light itself can become the main subject of a photograph.
This is a landscape taken around 10km north of my last post. on the road between Vesoul and Dijon.
Wonderful blue skies coupled with beautiful bright sunshine and fairly strong winds and with lots of white clouds quickly moving across the skies, i just watched as the shadows danced across the fields, and finally took this photo.

SHADOW TANGO
We were staying over at a friends house, I went outside for a breath of fresh air, before bed, I love the night-air, the silence, the reflecting lights... I turned around and saw this on the wall... a couple dancing, flicking the legs, well my camera is never far away, my tripod was in the boot of the car, I do always find something to 'steady', plus, again, focus, take a DEEEEEP breath, hold it, click, breathe out... DONE
Good night, M, (*_*)

My first entirely Bionicle MOC. Grabbing one of the eight fiery feathers from its tail can result in spontaneous combustion sometime in their life. It is said that it is only ever seen when a volcano erupts.
For National Puppetry Day a couple of years back I did a shadow puppet show of a Magician doing magic acts. A friend took these shots from the audience. There were many other acts including a disappearing act where the shadow puppet reappears on top of the stage as a hand puppet. I wrote and prerecorded the script, so that all I had to worry about was handling the puppets. It was great fun!
