From an art exhibit that opened today (6/24/12) in Cherry Hill NJ at the Fellowship Gallery of UUCCH. I used large pieces of hand made paper (from Dick Blick) and hung them intentionally to create shadows. Captured with my new Lumix G10 (modified for IR photography)

My dining room at breakfast time yesterday morning... the sun was streaming through the windows and casting these amazing red shadows on the wall.

There are just 2 tealight holders not 4 by the way !

We enjoyed visiting Shadow and his humans last weekend on their 5-acre property. Shadow is one week younger than Petey, but towers over him (!) and weighs 88 pounds. And he outplayed Petey, which I believe is a first.

Rust and shadows can be an interesting subject for black and white.

I shot this photo from an outdoor theater on the waterfront at Halifax, Nova Scotia. The shadows and the view of the harbor through the windows made it somewhat unique. The couple seated on the bench also adds an interesting silhouette.

Shadow in Palo Alto.

I stood firmly on the ground and then suddenly shadow started to grow from my feet. I think it's my flip-flops...

I saw this effect when drove into the Library today around 12:35. I had never noticed it before in five years of driving into the parking lot, and I wonder if it happens often. The sun has to be overhead at just the right angle; I'll need to look at the way the library lays out to see if this is something that's frequent.

After inhaling the aroma of his first beer, Shadow understandably feels the need to inhale some Extra Strength Dilmah tea (Best breakfast tea ever BTW)

12-13 hours after embarking on our climb, we finally made it back to camp. While making dinner, Mount Shasta's shadow loomed over us, reaching out to the rising moon. It was a long hard day, but it was entirely worth it.

this is a very noisy shot, but i love the shadows so can cope with the noise.

Hey !! Lets go this way!!
