The intricate details of the Allen County Courthouse in the early hours are exaggerated in the shadows.
A photo of Oxford from last year. This one was taken with the fish-eye lens - I know we typically try our best to not get shadows in a photo, but in the case I thought it added to the image.

Playful shadows dance across the canyon near Spider Rock. Spider Rock is a sandstone spire that rises 800 feet (240 m) from the canyon floor at the junction of Canyon de Chelly and Monument Canyon.
While in Chinle we made several visits to Canyon De Chelly (pronounced 'Shay'). This was an amazing awe-inspiring place. The canyon has been the home of different civilizations for thousands of years. The first to settle here were the Puebloans nearly 4,000 years ago. Eventually the Hopi tribe came along, and now is home to about 40 Navajo families.
This was by far the highlight of our trip. My absolute favorite spot that I long to go back to. You can sit on the canyons edge, watch the sunset cast playful moving shadows across the cliffs, and experience absolute silence.
As I did the Shadow Trooper I had to do the Scout.
I muted the colours a little as I wanted the reflection in the visor to stand out.
I am known for my many shadow puppet animals, but I'm probably best at "The Bird."

Shadow managed to climb and jump up on this roof top of an old abandoned Japanese military house. Taiwan. see Time Past 6. this was her way up to the roof.
Rising early to find the sunlight streaming in, I was compelled to take out my camera and play in the sunshine..... not quite a self-portrait (maybe one day!)

A while back I happened upon some nice bridge shadows and thought it should be easy to use The Photographer's Ephemeris to figure out when they would be nicely placed on the river and with the low Winter sun would stretch out a long ways down the river too. The TPE bit was easy but there were some unexpected surprises / fun things to learn too - full story in first comment below. From a fun morning chasing shadows with Sarah and Jim/JP Hansen @ Random…¡ Shadow box view. The sun azimuth / altitude was 174.60° / 21.25° when this was taken. NB7568

The shadow is taller than the object itself, just as the influence of this small island is larger than it's size suggests.
With the strong summer shadows I've been trying to channel my inner Valérie Jardin and shooting shadows. Cambridge being a dense city with few high rise buildings makes for great shadows, but most of the things the shadows fall upon are quite noisy, so I've found it hard to pull off what I've been trying to capture. Thankfully this white building provided a nice canvas.
