I'd just sat down to lunch, when I noticed the shadow cast by the lamp. I ran up stairs, grabbed a camera, ran back down, and already half the shadow had gone. But it'll do.
And for the 365 treasure hunt, number 45 Masonry.
The Shadow High girls up close. I love the RH line for their many, many details that I can't find in $200 range dolls. But this Shadow High release has simply blown me away. I just have no words. So cool, yet so sophisticated. Seeing what comes with these girls and the care that went into them (including beautiful, distinct manicured nails for each one in grayscale), I find myself questioning the worth of every other doll in my collection.
Shanelle, who I did not plan to buy at first, is my favorite of the trio. She is just ethereal. Super hard to photograph, but stunning from head to toe. That second dress is incredible.
Heather was my first pick from this line and she does not disappoint. I did redo her hair, it was messy out of box. And I flipped the hair extension things. Her crocodile print dress and pants are something else. As is her jacket (not shown here).
Natasha is gorgeous. The second outfit is just dreamy. That faux fur coat with its beaded stripes? I shudder to think how much other companies would charge for that, LOL.
Super happy with these girls. Thank you, MGA!
Shadow spends a lot of time outdoors. I think he loves his new life as a house cat, but he loves hunting and just being outside. When my aunt and uncle were there he was a little nervous and was sometimes difficult to get him to come inside, but sooner or later he always came back. I didn't see a lot of Shadow while I was there, but I did see him a few times.
Shadows facing two different ways. University Avenue & King Street West intersection, Toronto, Canada.
The sun's reflection off the skyscraper is so strong it creates shadows going the wrong way. The shadows should be going away from the camera (as seen on the left). Standing at the right spot, you will get shadows facing both front and back. Letting the sunshine in - any which way.

On the hunt for a Cobra assassin. This Storm Shadow is beyond classic he's down right iconic. I played with this guy all the time. This guy is pretty minty fresh looking because this is the second one I got the fist one is pretty hurting.
I thought these lines looked interesting but when a person strolled by, it made the shot all the better. So I set up and shot person after person untill this individual entered the shot, and it was best.
The shadows were most interesting although they contribute to a sort of paradox. At first blush they look like they are caused by the pillars that front them. However, the sun is on the pillars so that doesn't quite fit. Rather, there are similar free standing pillars to the left and just out of the image. You probably figured that out but small things entertain this photographer. This is the third in the series "Lines of Edmonton".

I think, my favorite pic taken in a public garden... I love this shadow, enigmatic, in a tube like an organ's one, and I listen to this delicious and baroque music from my son.
He's an organist in a black and white sweet dream.

Love this one, so much...

Number 131 of my 365 photo challenge - A 1:1 macro image of a Daisy surrounded by intense shadows in the afternoon sun.
Supersampler + Fuji Superia 800.
Taken with my lovely, if somewhat idiosyncratic Supersampler - 4 lenses take 4 shots onto 1 negative over 2 seconds. Completely plastic, no control whatsoever and no viewfinder - you just wave it about and hope for the best!
