recycled ferry seating in the shade...boatyard, argostoli, kefalonia

I was very happy to spot this lovely caterpillar in my garden. I'll have to keep an eye out for any of the moths too.

Who's this...? Kyori Sato Shade from the Supermodel Convention was my first ever Kyori. Now I have 3 Mold 2.0 and 1 Mold 1.0. Kyori is one of my favourite sculpts!

So how can Kyori be in the GWTW story? I don't know... she doesn't really fit the bill for any of the other female characters but the sun was shining today and Kyori was looking beautiful and hasn't been photographed in a while, so it seemed a shame not to get her in front of the lens!

In Abbotsford, as I recall. Artist unknown.

Low winter sun penetrates the room,

Light and shade play on my kitchen wall,

I snip this moment from the fabric of the day,

Life moves on,

My kitchen wall will never be the same.

Late afternoon sun filtering through tall bamboo. This garden is in front of my studio.

When I go on holiday, as well as getting some nice shots to set the scene, but I also like to get some shots of the local people. Come to think of it, even in London I still try and get the odd portraiture shot. I think I prefer the travel photography though, at least that way I get to fly around the world.

I was walking through a square in Marrakech, just outside the main souks. I saw this man in the shadows in the corner and I loved how the latticework shadows were falling across him. I got on the telephoto lens and snapped a few shots from the other side of the square. He's looking directly at me in this shot, but I'm not too sure if he knew I was actually taking his photo, as I was quite far away.

This really needs to be seen large, as the shadows look a bit confusing otherwise. Try it and see for yourself!

Just waiting for the canopy of leaves to fill in overhead. Until then, it gets pretty bright! Ferns, hosta, cactus, spirea.

Two human men sat outside the Kingdom of Haroldyn, surrounding a campfire.

"Nice night, eh?" the first man uttered, gazing up at the night sky, which shined a bright shade of violet.

"Sure is", the second man followed, a pouch of black beans in the center of his dust-covered mitt. He used the other hand to scratch the neck of his beard before looking back down towards the man across from him to say: "Ever wonder why there's no crime here?"

"Odd question, but uh... No, not really. Hadn't come to mind. Ain't it just the royal guards doing the protection?"

"Partially. Word on the street says there's a vigilante doing the hard work."

"Vigilante, huh? Weren't those outlawed after uh... Sh#t, what was that guy's name?"

"Valentine" the second man answered.

"Valentine, right. Amadeus Valentine..."

"Yeah. Anyway, what was I saying? Right... Illegal vigilante. Skilled enough they can break the rules. Killed everybody who tried to stop 'em or something."

"Damn. Wouldn't wanna run into that guy."

"No kidding." He poured a handful of beans down his throat after responding. "Hell, I hear they're the son-of-a-b#tch behind what happened to Balgor."

"Hold on, lemme get this straight. Some illegal phony f#cking killed Balgor?"

"Apparently. If the rumors are true, that is."

"Holy hell..."

"That's what I said... And I hear she uses his sword..."

"'She'?"

"Oh, I didn't mention? The village says her name is 'Lady Algoroth'."

Abruptly, both of the men heard something to their left. A rustling in some shrubs, perhaps. They turned to face it. Unknown to the two, a skeletal figure was quietly leaping down from some rock before strutting eerily towards them from behind. A long, silver blade stuck from the opening of their dark brown cloak.

"...Boo."

I'm so pleased at how beautiful the Hosta and Ferns are so far, they are growing like weeds.

In my first pictures of Kyori Shade (and to my shame my only other shoot to date) she wore The Fierce Subject oriental style evening gown - very elegant! For this second set I wanted to have a total contrast! What do you think of her as biker chick?

Good lights to all of you, fellows.
