New addition to the shade garden. This pseudo Japanese tower will specialize in succulents. Ornamental sweet potato vines will climb around all the towers. Hellebores and hosta are on the ground.
This is apart of my project titled 'Trees' which is self explanatory. I set out to photograph trees! Taken on an Olympus OM-2N, film used was Fuji 400H.
The week this was taken was full of rain and dark clouds, which happens to be my favourite weather to walk and photograph in. Not to mention it being a very welcome relief from the 40 degree record heatwave the UK had recently experienced.
This was a beautiful scene, and I particuarly love the foliage around the large tree in the foreground.

Fingers crossed for actual snow soon!!

I wake every morning to the light coming through the Venetian blinds in my bedroom. I love the way that there are the parallel lines of the slats and also the minor verticals crossing them. I think I have caught the shade created at just the right intensity but who am I to judge?

Being out in the middle of the swamp in the summer heat of Louisiana can get tough. Usually at this time of the year, I go out in the late afternoon and stay until dark. Sometimes, it's so hot, that you'll paddle through open water in the blazing sun, aiming directly for clusters of shade, just hopping from one spot to another until the sun drops enough.
A shaded path found in one of my favorite spots. This path winds along beside a river and you can find a wide variety of wildlife in the area.
