Based on a sketch I did in the 90s, I created this work in a few hours. It's perhaps the finest example of my best and most recent work.
Also known as vinca minor, this shade loving ground cover grows in the area next to the giant maple (our Ent) This area was completely overgrown with weeds when we moved here. In addition to the vinca minor, I've planted hosta and lily of the valley which are also poking up.
But friendship is precious, not only in the shade, but in the sunshine of life, and thanks to a benevolent arrangement the greater part of life is sunshine.

The bark of the tree and the newly grown branch gave the photo a nice contrast-the shade added one more layer in this.

I drew this as a response to his adorable Pot of Xander picture.
Shade somehow ended up in a pot of bamboo tea as well, and somehow ended up nibbling on the bamboo.. yes foxes can like bamboo too!! ^^
Without shade and water, summer in Outback Queensland would be nearly impossible to bear.
For those in the true outback, shade is from trees and water is pumped from the Artesian Basin.
