Breadshare was started by a group of people as a not-for-profit organic bakery based in the Scottish Borders. Volunteers like Alex pictured here take turns to run the stall. They believe that real nutritious organic bread should be available to everyone at an affordable price. Their artisan organic bread is made using slow fermentation techniques with no additives. Favourites include their signature Border Country Loaf and Seven Seeds. They also have regular open days and teach all kinds of people how to make organic bread using traditional methods.
Using modge podge to decoupage, a 99 cent pizza pan, 4 sheets of scrapbook paper, some wooden feet (candle stick holders) painted them black and 99 cent handles from Lowes. I had about $5 dollars into it. I put some Swarovski crystals where the holes where for the screws of the handles.

I previously uploaded this photo as part of a diptych but here is the single version. We do live in a single-serving world. I took this in a hotel in Scottsdale, AZ. What is silly to me is all the wasted work companies, and people by extension, go through to package these small portions of toiletries. I have been in hotels where I have found individual Q-Tip packages. What is motivated by convenience just leaves me feeling isolated and lonely on the road.

RAF Spadeadam has been invited to receive the Freedom of the Town by Brampton Parish Council at a celebratory event.
Personnel - based at Gilsland, near Brampton - will make their way into the town as part of a freedom parade on Sunday, before an official ceremony and presentation. Chairman David Moorat said: “Freedom of a town is one of the most prized honours that can be bestowed by a community upon a military unit.
"Brampton is proud to make this award, in recognition and appreciation of the long association between the Royal Air Force and our town, of the highly important role of the Royal Air Force in preserving peace in our land and the considerable risk that they take in serving our country.”
The parade, complete with a Flight of Royal Air Force Spadeadam personnel and headed by the Band of the Royal Armoured Corps, will make its way from William Howard School at 2pm to Front Street for the short ceremony. Mr Moorat, Claire Hensman, The Lord Lieutenant of Cumbria, and RAF Spadeadam station commander, Wing Commander Ruari Henderson-Begg (CORR), will take the salute and then inspect the personnel.
The citation for the freedom will be read out and then the ceremony to officially hand over the scroll inferring the freedom will be presented to the station commander. The flight will then march around the Moot Hall, return along Front Street and continue up Main Street and onto Brampton Community Centre.
Residents will line the streets to see the Freedom Parade and show their support for RAF Spadeadam. Jez Lawton, project officer for the event, said it's something they're looking forward to celebrating with their families and the community. "It's a huge honour for us. Last year we celebrated our 40th year since Spadeadam came into being as a Royal Air Force station," he said. "All our families are based in Brampton, that's where our family quarters are and where we live. "We have always had a really good relationship with Brampton so to be given this honour, we're absolutely delighted."

LGAR Arsinoe Martin Circle 78 Organizing. They held their third meeting on Sat., Jan. 27, 2017 in Elkhart. Arsinoe Martin, a school teacher, was the daughter of Wllliam Martin, a farmer and underground railroad conductor in Elkhart County. At an 1861 meeting in her father's grove, after recruitment was slow, she volunteered to go to the Front as a nurse. Thirty young men then joined the Union Army. She contracted typhoid fever in one of the camp hospitals and returned to her home on what is now C.R. 23 where she died at age 25 in 1864. She was buried not far from her parents' home in Pine CreekCemetery on C.R. 20 where her stone had collapsed and was never repaired. Beth Thurston, Penny Bucks and others wanted to form a LGAR circle, and became interested in Arsinoe Martin, especially after they were able to link Beth's "Blue" family to Arsinoe's mother's family. So, they reached out to other local ladies, and formed the LGAR Arsinoe Martin Circle 78 and have 11 current members. It is only the 2nd LGAR circle in Indiana. They have had 3 organizing meetings, one at the Bristol Library and are looking for more members as they work on getting their group chartered. On Dec. 25, the group was instrumental in replacing the old stone with a new one in the cemetery. Anyone who has a civil war veteran in their family tree can apply for membership.
