I am so excited about this set. A friend of mine, David Clifton, whom I met about a month ago at the retreat I was on, puts on a dinner for all the homeless people in Denver. He and his volunteers can serve between 5,000 and 10,000 people on this day alone. He has been doing missions for many years and has been to 51 countries. When he asked me to photograph this event for him I was so honored. I wanted to do more, serve people food, take them to their seats, etc.... But I wanted to capture some important pictures too, as I believe these people are very special. I tried to talk to as many of them as I could, and I hope they felt that I cared about them.

No-one in their right mind would follow the instructions literally ...

Out with the Nicca5L, and a roll of TMY2. I realize I am grateful for image capturing, seeing my colleagues pics on flickr. And I realize how tired I am of hatred, aversion, and anger. As a dad, a doctor, and avid film guy, I can only hope our collective photography can get us over the difficult times we all face. But do remember to speak up for those whose voices have been silenced, as the photo of the hand written sign notes.

I hand carved this serving dish from a piece of a Black Cherry tree that had been bulldozed over near where I live.

40th annual May Breakfast, May 5, 2013

The event featured Jonnycakes, homemade breads and more as we welcomed the arrival of spring. Volunteers in Colonial dress treated guests at our historic 18th century home to a homemade breakfast of various berry breads, chilled fruit cup, Jonnycakes, omelet, bacon & Grandma’s old fashioned baked beans, coffee & orange juice. After the breakfast, guests were treated to tour the rooms and exhibits of the House Museum and the surrounding grounds on a beautiful May day.

went to the mall today (Which I detest) to buy a few shirts for my vacation. Taking some candids kept me entertained when I was bored.

Black Tea, is one of Turkish favourite hot drink.

The cups are not big, because they believe that a hot drink should be taken hot. Too big a glass, will mean that by the time you are finishing your tea, it would have turned cold.
