Sanders Services VDL Pulsar 2 406 (YJ59AZN) calls at Oak Street on the Fakenham town service 28.
Previously this bus had seen service with Go North East and coded 9162, which sandwiched a stint with Manchester Airport.

ET21-630 with passenger wagons of two trains (the first wagon is from local passenger train and the next wagons are of the express one from Warsaw) in a service run from Krynica to wagon facility in Powroźnik. The old electric (freight, actually) loco was used for the passenger train, and the original locomotive of the express train was coupled at the end of this consist. August 6, 2002.

In 2009 Goscote Services was a Renault dealership, this ended sometime after 2011.
There is an eight year gap until the next street view image, this shows the garage trading as an independent as it remains in the present day.
The petrol station has been independent all the way through the street view era, the canopy is in an interesting colour scheme in the first two street view images, the price board looks very similar to the style used by the brand Bayford Thrust.

T3 563 rolling into Swanage with the last train of the day, passing 34070 and 31806 at the loco depot
Lincoln Service train 301 passes thru the CTC interlockings at Ridgely on the Lincoln's Birthday holiday. Today's train had two Amfleet coaches up front and three new Venture cars on the rear. The difference in vertical size is quite striking.

For Steam Sunday here's another from what was unquestionably the longest train chase of my life...well over 500 miles from DeQuincy, Louisiana to the Mexican border at Laredo, Texas (though not in one day)!
This is Canadian Pacific 2816, the famed 'Empress', an H1b class 4-6-4 Hudson built by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1930. Orignally retired in 1960 after there decades of pulling CP passenger trains the locomotive was purchased by F. Nelson Blount for preservation as part of his Steamtown collection in Vermont. It later moved with the rest of the collection to Scranton until CP purchased it back from the National Park Service in 1998. Returned to service in 2001 she operated until 2012 when E. Hunter Harrison took the reigns at CP. Eight years later Keith Creel (EHH's successor) reversed course and she was fired up for a test run and then a second restoration began which was completed in 2023.
As a way of celebrating the approval and consummation of the Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern Railway merger on April 14, 2023 CPKC is running a tri nation tour across the length of their newly combined network. The trip began in Calgary on April 24th and concluded in Mexico City on June 7th before returning home for a total of three months on the road and 9000 miles round trip!
Here she is paused for a service stop in a strange land far from her historic home rails operating across Union Pacific trackage rights on modern day UP's Houston Sub the former Southern Pacific (T&NO) Sunset Route mainline. She is sitting just east of the Van Hut Lane crossing at about MP 350.8 near the eastern city limits and will soon be on the move toward Englewood Yard and through downtown on her way to Sugarland, Rosenburg and ultimately home rails in Kendleton where she'll rest for a couple nights.

"Out of Service" sort of sums up much of the second half of my 2025 photography endeavours.
Thomas Edison National Historic Park in West Orange, New Jersey. A workforce of about 100 men worked in small teams under Edison's direction to research and produce many of the finished items that came from the labs.
The laboratory buildings at the Thomas Edison National Historic Park represent a well-preserved collection of over 400,000 items connected to Edison and his inventions and research.
Nikon ZF with Nikkor Z 24-120mm F4 lens @ 44mm. F6.3, ISO 6400, 1/25th second exposure. Handheld since they don't allow tripods.

GOT #623 follows a Lakeshore West outbound towards the Willowbrook maintenance facility for servicing.
A nice late '70s view of Chesterfield's Central Pavement looking towards Vicar Lane. The East Midland, Albion Lowlander bus beginning its 10-mile journey South to Matlock in the Peak District.
The scene is still recognisable today, but the street has been stone-cobbled and is now a pedestrianised zone, like so many town streets are these days.
37716 works the last locomotive hauled service for the day on the 2P33 Great Yarmouth to Norwich service. Taken west of Great Yarmouth where the line follows the A47.

Sunday 29th August 2021, saw Midland Classic of Burton host an excellent running day in clebration of Stevensons Bus Services 95th year.
Included was the Midland Classic depot being open to visitors and heritage and modern buses operating on Route 401 between Burton and Tutbury and onwards to Uttoxeter.

Driver John McDonald returns to 37108 before we set off on our way from Rannoch towards Fort William with the 0950 Glasgow Queen St to Fort William service on the 14/1/84.
37108 like many other Eastfield class 37s was still devoid of its centre snow plough blade despite winter having taken a full grip.
Two and a half years after it was put into storage, Metrolink F59PHR 873 is back in service powering trains around Southern California. The last of Metrolink's original F59PH fleet, 873 was stored in the summer of 2020 as more new F125 units were brought into service. However, with some F125s and MP36PH units out for maintenance, a handful of F59PHRs were brought back to life. Units 856 and 868 have been running since the summer of 2022; 873 was brought back the week of 12/12 and is still just stretching its legs after a long rest. Here it leads train 362 into Claremont on a Saturday afternoon.
