Service berry, or Saskatoon berry as it is called in Canada, produces a dark blue mid-summer berry that, from select plants, can be quite sweet. Native Americans often used it as the fruit component in pemican.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (Nov. 16, 2023) Class of 2024 midshipmen from the 10th Company receive their service assignment at the U.S. Naval Academy. Upon graduation and commissioning in May, 74 percent will commission as U.S. Navy ensigns and 26 percent will commission as U.S. Marine Corps second lieutenants. As the undergraduate college of our country’s naval service, the Naval Academy prepares young men and women to become professional officers of competence, character, and compassion in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Studio 6.7 family service project at Chaucie's Place

The Library held a series of staff development sessions for Access Services at the new Library Administrative Center which included healthy and productive conversations about challenged books, the freedom to read, and self-care strategies to manage workplace stresses. Staff also had an opportunity to ask Library leadership any questions that were on their mind. Light refreshments, lunch, and activities were provided throughout the day.

Earlier today, 07 November 2025, Greater Manchester Police's Chief Constable, Sir Stephen Watson QPM was joined by the High Sheriff of Greater Manchester, Mr Martin Ainscough CBE DL, and Deputy Mayor Kate Green to commemorate all those colleagues who sadly lost their lives in the line of duty and all others who have died during conflicts throughout history.

 

The service took place at the force’s Sedgley Park Centre.
