I've been back at sensor cleaning on my Nikon D2x. I've been doing my own sensor cleaning since I bought this camera several years ago, but it never has become a pleasant job. My latest problem involves some sort of nasty smear right on the sensor that I can't get rid of. Brand name of these over-priced brushes has been blurred so that it doesn't come off as an endorsement.

I finally got to clean my sensor!! After a couple of month dealing with some stubborn dust on my sensor, I got to clean it with a "dry" method. I used Dust-Aid. I was skeptical about cleaning it my self, and I have to admit I was afraid of messing thins up, but It worked wonderfully (Thank God!).

This is a close up of the hall effect sensor that was originally on my motor on my bike. It is roughly equivalent to the Honeywell SS41 hall sensor series, although which type of SS41 sensor it nearest is up for debate. They produce a sensor labeled SS41F, which might perhaps be most similar, but is hardest to find. In the end I used SS41 and it worked fine. From everything I understand, the difference between the different sensors is not important for ebikes.
