The rain continued, the rocks were slippery and I slipped over twice, but was determined to get behind the waterfall. If you zoom in, you can see three tiny people to give you an idea of how enormous the waterfall is. . I did get behind it , but then the battery died in my camera, so the only pics I have from behind the waterfall are from my camera phone !
Can't get enough of this waterfall in Iceland. It looks great in the setting sun and camping underneath the cliffs here makes for a wonderful experience

This 60 meter high waterfall has the peculiarity that you can go behind it through a path in the rock. It is advisable to bring a raincoat since it is inevitable that you will end up wet. The experience of surrounding her from behind is unforgettable.

The gorgeous Seljalandsfoss waterfall in West Iceland. The rock outcropping behind the falls lets you walk all the way around it, though you'll get pretty wet in the process. The storm clouds made for an ominous, but beautiful, shot (blue skies are the enemy of good photography, as they say). 3 exposure HDR shot using a Canon 6D on a Gitzo GT2541 tripod and RRS BH-55 ballhead.
Seljalandsfoss is a waterfall with a drop of 60 metres. It is part of the river Seljalandsá, has its origins underneath the glacier Eyjafjallajökull. The volcano beneath this ice cap was the one that erupted in 2010 and caused havoc at airports across Europe.
The cascade of the falls is relatively narrow but falls from a tall cliff that once marked the country's coastline, the sea is now located across a stretch of lowlands and is visible from the site.
The most distinguishing feature of Seljalandsfoss is a pathway that stretches around it. The cliffs behind the falls have a wide cavern, and rocks and paths allow guests to fully encircle it in summer.
Photo composed using 3 bracketed exposure shots, tripod, very close aperture and no filters.
Dropping from a height of 60 meters, Seljalandsfoss is one of the most photographed and easily accessible waterfalls in Southern Iceland.
On the day I photographed this the weather went from freezing drizzle to patchy blue sky to snow all within about an hour.
Just back from an amazing 4 days in Iceland. I can't express how beautiful this country is. It was really frustrating as many of the locations I stopped on the tour only gave me 30 - 40 minutes to take photos I could have stayed at each one all day taking pics.

I'm BACK FROM ICELAND.. .such and amazing trip! I hope to blog about it and have a video up next month!
Saludos.

There are so many possibilities to get wet. This is one: going behind this waterfall, when the wind is blowing strong.
Seljalandsfoss, Islandia.
My favourite icelandic waterfall! :-)
