This is a rare treat, a waterfall you can walk behind.

Captured moments taken during a four day road trip through the southern coast of Iceland.

Final break at Seljalandsfoss waterfall

Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall in southern Iceland, is a very popular tourist destination since you can walk behind the waterfall.

Definitely wear good waterproof gear for this!

A 60 metre high veil of glacial meltwater which you can walk behind.

Final break at Seljalandsfoss waterfall

view from track that walks behind the much photographed Seljalandsfoss waterfall - located beside the main south cost road of iceland

My favorite waterfall in iceland. This was probably my most challenging shot I've ever taken. When you're this close to the waterfall, water is splashing you nonstop. It was really difficult to get a long exposure without water splashing on your lens. Raincover, poncho, and waterproof gloves is a must. This was taken around noon but I recommend coming in late evening / sunset so the inside of the falls isnt dark.
