Seljalandsfoss, South-Iceland 20200730
Seljalandsfoss waterfall along Iceland’s southern coast is fed by melting water from the famed glacier-capped Eyjafjallajokull volcano. This powerful waterfall cascades into a pretty meadow. However, the path that runs behind the curtain of water is the main attraction.
The waterfall is formed by the Seljalands River, which originates in Eyjafjallajökull Glacier Volcano. Filled with glacier meltwater, the river rushes south and cascades down the high rugged wall of the cliff.
In popular culture, Seljalandsfoss Waterfall in Iceland has been featured in movies and music videos. Justin Bieber’s music video for the song “I’ll Show You” was filmed at many South Iceland attractions, including Seljalandsfoss. Parts of the TV series “The Amazing Race 6” and “CKY2K” were shot near the waterfall.

This image was a tough nut to crack. The mist of the waterfall was all over the place and by the time the long exposure finished, the camera, the filters and myself were completely wet. I'm trying to bring across that feeling of getting a cold shower in this image. Hope it works.

The popular Seljalandsfoss waterfall lets visitors to walk underneath the massive waterfall. Just make sure you don't mind to get wet.
On a gray and wet Iceland morning, the drizzle held up long enough for me to photograph this silky roadside waterfall. The waterfall drops 60 m (197 ft) and is part of the Seljalands River that has its origin in the volcano glacier Eyjafjallajökull.

This waterfall needs no introduction as it is one of the most photographed features in all of Iceland. Majestic and picturesque, it is one of the country's most famous and visited falls due to the waterfall’s close proximity to the Ring Road and impressive natural features.
The waterfall drops 60 m (197 ft) and is part of the Seljalands River that has its origin in the volcano glacier Eyjafjallajökull. Visitors can walk behind the falls into a small cave.
This image is a panorama of 8 images resulting in final 210 MP image in size. It is very difficult to take pictures from behind the falls as the water drops and mist constantly fall on the camera lens and you need to keep cleaning the lens every now and then, not to mention the amount of crowd that passes every second on this narrow passage behind the falls. I had to remove many people from the final panorama image in post-process in order to get a clean image.

Seljalandsfoss is a waterfall in Iceland. It was a waypoint during the first leg of The Amazing Race 6.
Seljalandsfoss is situated in between Selfoss and Skógafoss at the road crossing of Route 1 (the Ring Road) with the track going into Þórsmörk.
This waterfall of the river Seljalandsá drops 60 meters (200 ft) over the cliffs of the former coastline. It is possible to go behind the waterfall. (Wikipedia)
My third day in Iceland travelling the south coast towards Vik.
The power and beauty of this waterfall are incredible. I was lucky enough to arrive at Seljalandsfoss when sunlight was hitting the water, creating this surreal effect (helped with a little post-processing).

Comme dans Tintin, on peut se cacher derrière cette haute et superbe cascade de Seljalandsfoss, Islande.
The name of this waterfall is Seljalandsfoss. He is pretty tall as you can see when you compare it to the person in the left corner of the photo :)

About halfway between Selfoss and Vik, somewhat off the ring road, lies a table mountain with several waterfalls. At the southern end is the Seljalandsfoss; it is probably one of the most famous motifs in Iceland.
Here the glacial water of the Eyjafjallajökull falls 66 meters into the depth. The basin at the foot of the waterfall can be walked around, but you should wear waterproof clothes.
The place is one of the main attractions on the RInd road and therefore always well visited. For tourist-free photos you need some patience.
Une petite grimpette pour cette prise de vue, merci Cyril de nous avoir motivés à te rejoindre là-haut ;)
每次都覺得這瀑布的名字像是在.... XD

Photographed from behind the waterfall at dusk.
To give you an idea of scale the waterfall is 60m high and the spray from it filled the air; in fact, the biggest problem in taking this long exposure photo was keeping the water off the surface of the 6 stop neutral density filter that was screwed onto the front of the lens for the 1 second exposure time that I was after.

Seljalandsfoss waterfall, in Iceland. A beautiful waterfall with the added quirk that you can walk behind it.
Seljalandsfoss is a 60m high waterfall on the south coast of Iceland. The peninsula is full of natural threasures, for example Þórsmörk and the famous volcanic glacier Eyjafjallajökull. As one can see in the image, it's possible to walk behind the waterfall... sometimes a litle wet, but totally worth it. The water is fresh, without melting glacier water in it. The rock/cliffs in the area are called Eyjafjöll.

The 2nd day of my journey:
due to the relief in iceland every river or waterstream becomes a waterfall at the edge of the mountains. Some of them are as stunning as this one.Furthermore the weather canges soo quick. i was lucky to be able to capture one of these changes. The sun hitting only the background completely, the wing blowing around the water of the waterfall. Hope u like it as much as i do
Double luck at Seljalandsfoss: after a cloudless day there were a few decorative clouds in the sky again at sunset and there was no wind that you could actually take photos behind the waterfall without soaking all your equipment (and without drops on the lens all the time)
I spelled "Seljalandsfoss" correctly without even looking it up!!!!!!!
And then I looked it up just to make sure :)
