Thankfully, there’s nothing “buttoned-up” about these adorable Blowfish flats, save for a funky detail that brilliantly evokes our love for our favorite jeans. Luckily, with these you get all the comfort of the 1992 Gap classic fits with decidedly more style (and without holes).

This is the finest grapefruit I have ever tasted. It was not bitter but sweet and was absolutely delicious, I just wish I'd had more than one piece.

This is a photograph from the 17:00 - 19:00 segment of the first Edenderry Tri Club "Edenderry 5 Mile Challenge" which was held in Edenderry, Co. Offaly, Ireland on Saturday 27th September 2014 from 15:00 and continuing on until 15:00 on Sunday 28th September 2014. The event is partnered as a charity event and proceeds will go to support Edenderry Tri Club and our Charity Partners - Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, Little Wishes Edenderry and Edenderry Tidy Towns. Three members of the Edenderry Tri Club will complete the 5 mile route in relays for the continuous 24 hours. People are welcome to join in for one, two or as many loops as they wish. The loop is a 5 mile route starting and finishing in Edenderry St. Mary's Secondary School and following the famous Drumcooley 5 mile route which is well known to local runners and walkers. The route brings participants out 'the Tunnel Road' following 'The Bog Road' out to the Canal and then turning right and up the long hill of Drumcooley. After the decent the route makes its way back into the town and joins the Tullamore road and finishes back in the secondary school. Almost 400 people are expected to take part in the event with many runners using the event as an opportunity to get their final long runs completed before the Dublin marathon in October.

Amazed to see this (though of course it was cast in Sheffield). Can't help reflecting that the enemy's artillery, when captured, was long the definitive battle trophy, perhaps this is the last ever example. (While there is a considerable aesthetic difference between this and one of Louis XIV's ornate pieces stamped 'Ultima Ratio Regis' (the last argument of kings), it makes up for it in sheer scale. As a last argument, this didn't even get to first base, though.)

Day 6 random campsite (Segment 20) to random campsite (Segment 21)

The trail eventually drops down to 11,944 feet at San Luis Pass which is the end of Segment 20. The small town of Creede is accessible via a dirt road from here but not easily. It is about 10 miles away.

After the Pass, Segment 21 begins. The trail has a couple of good climbs and nearly reaches 13,000 feet at another saddle (12, 887'). Once again was able to enjoy hiking some 1/2 fish bowls. All of this above treeline.

The Colorado Trail is notorious for afternoon thunderstorms. Typically, it is best to not be caught above treeline for obvious reasons. Fortunately, once again the weather was fantastic with blue skies everywhere. 2 days in a row must be a record for CO.

After a convenient dinner break at Middle Mineral Creek, I began searching for a campsite. I didn't search for long and didn't have far to go to find a decent spot below treeline. 12.9 miles of awesome hiking with spectacular views today.

This cyclist is breaking up into segments, as are the wheels of the bike. This might be due to the reduced protection afforded by the helmet, which is much smaller than that used by regular cyclists.

Segment 1

After dropping my vehicle off at The Bivvi in Breckenridge, I made my way back to the Waterton Trailhead via an early morning shuttle (to DIA), 2 bus rides (to Union Station and then to Highlands Ranch Town Center) and then a taxi (to trailhead). It was about 2 o'clock when I finally started hiking. It was hot, in the low 90s with little shade. Following South Platte river was very easy hiking. The 'footpath' (it is actually a service road) is wide and accommodating to the many hikers and bikers out for the day. There were bighorn sheep, as well.

Shortly after Strontia Springs Dam (mile 6.2), the 'trail' finally turns into a trail and starts climbing. Strontia Springs Dam was completed in 1983 and is 243 feet high. I took a short break here while watching the bighorn sheep. Camping is not allowed in Waterton Canyon along the South Platte, so I still had a couple more miles of hiking to do.

The trail was no longer flat but it really wasn't that difficult either. It enters the woods past a memorial bench (Lenny's Rest) and starts to switchback to the top. My destination for the night was somewhere near Bear Creek, not too much further.

I arrived at the camp site (mile 8.6) at approximately 1800 (6 o'clock). This is an established camp site with room for several tents. There were 2 tents already there with another one nearby. The creek was flowing and was the water source.
