We had a drive and a Saturday lunch outing to the seaside town of Lavrio.
We saw wind turbine shaft segments, baldes and generators stored in various place in and around Lavrio, and loaded on a ship for transport to various islands.
Why is it that at least half a dozen pieces do not fit back in the wrapper? As I loathe waste I had to eat them, bang goes resolution number one!

Construction the Modular Steel Tower (MST) segments of the first L136 wind turbine in Eemshaven. 11 sections together will form a 132 metres tower.
The Modular Steel Tower (MST) is a Lagerwey design and consists of metal sheets that are transported on standard trucks. The tower is assembled on site by bolting the metal sheets together for a lifetime connection with pre stressed high quality bolts. It is a proven concept used in other industries. The MST is light and reduces transport movements up to 10% in comparison to concrete tower solutions. Another advantage is the ability to build ever higher towers. We are currently designing a tower of 166 meters high for our L136 platform that can be transported without the need for adapting existing infrastructure.
The last advantage of the MST that it can be taken down and recycled at the end of its lifetime.

Lemon.
This lemon has sat in the fruit bowl for several weeks. Originally bought to grace the gin and tonics of my wife and one of our friends it has been forgotten, neglected and gone unused. The skin was hard and mottled with brown and the lemon had shrunk in size quite markedly. The lemony smell of the skin was quite intense ans surprisingly the flesh was still quite juicy.

Will the electric Fiat 500 be the basis for other A Segment City Cars? Stellantis could launch a new family of segment A electric City Cars: new Citroën C1, new Opel Adam, new Peugeot 108, new DS City car and new Lancia Ypsilon (called Lancia-Autobianchi E112 Abarth). In this way Stellantis could achieve a double goal. The first would be to achieve new economies of scale thanks to the collaboration between its brands. The other objective would be to ensure leadership in the A segment of the market which continues to have a certain importance in Europe. Among other things, these new models could lower the production costs of the electric Fiat 500 in Mirafiori. The official confirmation will come only with the future industrial plan of the Stellantis brands which as we know should be revealed between the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022. At that point we will have the certainty that the Fiat 500 will no longer be alone in the A segment of the market in the future, given that the Fiat Panda will instead be moved to segment B and will completely revolutionize its design, taking its cue from the Fiat Centoventi concept car.

Closing the post-war main battle tank segment of the arena display at the first Tiger Day of 2022 at the Tank Museum, Bovington Camp, Dorset, this second-gen MBT is generally accepted as a member of the Patton family although the US Army preferred to think of it a a "product-improved descendant" which tells us something about where linguistic obfuscation has its natural home. It was developed as a counter to the T-54 and rumoured successors, with good armour and mobility and a version of the British L7 105 mm gun developed as part of Centurion improvement. It first saw action in Israel and continued at least up to use by the US Marine Corps during Desert Storm where it proved itself still capable against T-72 series opposition. in my youth it appealed to me because the turret has a turret on it!
