as always, i get the biggest kick out of reading your interpretations of my abstractions! if you do not focus too much, i think you could see a torso of a man, like a pharoah's posture, sitting down. the fragmentation is a breakdown, altho one person saw this as a build-up. i love you guys!

Macro Mondays theme - Redux 2017 - My Favorite theme of the year (2017). I chose the theme THREE although ( high Key, Bokeh, Side Lit) all fit the theme.
Three Clementine segments side lit by the sun, I was fortunate here I was thinking of how to light my subject when sun offered it's services, if, for only a brief and short time.
HMM!!!

and i am learning about how to take macro pictures with the iphone- it's a little different than the beloved canon870

Type F11 and L for best viewing. You really need to zoom in to see the climbers.
This is a picture of my most recent hike in the Pyrenees, with my son, two of his friends and a mountain guide. As anticipated, my condition was not good enough for the final segment along the ridge up to the top, and I preferred to stay at Pic du Sarrazi, watching them climb and waiting for them to come back.

Possibly a male Wabash River Cruiser taken in Swinney Park in my town of Fort Wayne.
I do believe that possibly this to be the rare Wabash River Cruiser (Macromia wabashensis). There is still much debate among scientist (Odonatologists) if this is a true valid species or a hybrid of the Gilded River Cruiser and the Royal River Cruiser. This species have been found in Ohio and Indiana.
On the Wabash River Cruiser the moth shape marking on segment 8 is the most distinguishing feature, where on the Royal River Cruiser that segment is more like two elongated dots.
The first photo in comment section shows the close up of the abdomen showing the moth shape marking on segment 8.
The second photo shows the Royal River Cruiser showing more of two elongated dots on segment 8.

Macquarie’s Point, Sydney, NSW, Australia
I’ve probably got several hundred images of the Opera House taken from every possible viewpoint, including our hotel bedroom window, the Harbour Bridge and several ferries. From Bennelong Point you are constantly looking up at the roof segments which makes a full shot very difficult, but if you want to get a full side view of this magnificent building there is no better location than Macquarie’s Point in my option.
Besides, I’d carried my tripod and heavy zoom all over Australia and I was sure as hell going to get some use of them both! Just having some fun here picking out details… other images are available.
