TED: "Me an' Donald luvved doin' this Coca Cola pussel but the peeces wuz ever so tite! Yew can see Donald liftin' the corner up to show yew 'ow tite it is!
Mum rewarded us wiv a can of Coke each, fer bein' good bears an' finnishin' the pussel after she got fed up 'ammerin' peeces into place.
I don't fink we'll keep this one, cuz we don't reely collect Krissmussy jigsaws, but it's a nice one if yew can find a copy."
Absolutely my favourite findings of this last period at the flea market!
- Old japanese xylophone, with a music book, fully functional and with a beautiful graphic ♥
- An old box of POlicromi, italian chalks of the '50, a gift with the kylophone.
- Beautiful french postacrd of the first years of 1900, stamped and written by someone. I absolutely need them to arrange a photo mosaic in my living room! I need someone who translate these for me...but who? They are perfectly written with an italic handwriting!
- Vintage sunglasses of the'60, belonged to a Countess. The vendor told me an amazing history of this piece!
...yes, sure i'm happy! :)
Place Saint-Clair, Aiguilhe, France (near Le Puy-en-Velay). The church at the back is the Chapel of Saint Michel, a popular attraction. Stamped July, 1970.

Not overly fond of this batch I received last month. I only bothered to scan 55 of the hundred... At least 10 were shots of somebody's dog.
I feel happy to see her expression, so I captured her immediately.
This is one of my favorite places in Prague.

Cardiff Bus have recently acquired 12 10-year old Mercedes Citaros, to add to the existing fleet of 40 similar machines. They've come from Bus Vannin, Isle of Man and are currently being fitted out and sprayed into a revised fleet livery. The fleet numbers will be 141 - 152 with their new UK registrations currently being sorted at the DVLA.
Shown is ex. Bus Vannin 211 (KMN-211-L) still wearing the livery of it's previous owner. They will replace the Enviro 300's, 701-706 & 711-716, which were new in 2004.
Stamped May, 1978. I haven't figured the location out yet, but there are also tanks on display in other shots; it seems to be from the same trip as a visit to George Washington's Mount Vernon. Possibly the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland...

Frame is stamped "Oct 69." For one reason or another I've seen very few African Americans in the secondhand slides I've bought on eBay. There are all sort of points in the ownership chain that might/not explain this.
Some Standards saw further service competing with their former operator on Manchester's streets.
One time GMPTE 7543 spent a few years in the London suburbs with London Country, who operated it as AN384. It returned North to Bee Line who briefly used it in full LC livery but with the addition of a yellow lower front before it could be repainted.
The bus is seen on Stockport bus station in August 1990. Ironically, it was a Stockport based vehicle throughout its life with the PTE, so was no stranger to this location.
