My husband calls this kind of store "magnet". Since he loves books a great deal, the attraction is too strong for him to ignore! He was quite happy for he was able to find a book on a Japanese pilgrimage. You'll never know that you might find a very valuable, treasure book among those books.

We haven’t been going out secondhand shopping much as most of our trips involve dropping things off to donate. We have been looking for some furniture items so we’ve had to stop out here and there. Today we found these two homemade actual wood shelves and while the color isn’t ideal, we’re going to dig around in our paint stores and repaint them tomorrow. We also found three small corner selves, also homemade, and we’re using two as speaker stands for our stereo and one on the stairs. We got all 5 pieces of furniture for less than $40. I also found this incredible hand stitched quilt. I fully plan on picking the blanket apart and using the fabric on a skirt idea I’ve been sourcing vintage fabric for. We also got this dish and mug, they won’t be for eating/drinking with but I have some ideas.
